Kontentsu of Montrose

We came for dinner with friends on a Friday night. We were seated quickly. The ramen was good, not great. Our waitress seemed to be in a bad mood. She was visibly annoyed when we asked for straws. She also forgot to refill our drinks. The restaurant was clean and it had a nice atmosphere. I would come back if I’m in the area.

The Ramen bowl was rich with flavor and large enough for 3 lunches.

By far the best Ramen in the Los Angeles area and THE best restaurant in Montrose/La Crescenta. Nice variety of sushi rolls, curry don, and the Karaage Chicken is fantastic! The Vegetable Miso Ramen is our fav with fried tofu!

Wonderful Japanese place in the heart of Montrose. We were introduced to this restaurant by some close friends of ours a few years ago. We really enjoy their different ramen options, but especially recommend their Tonkatsu Black option. If you're looking for something to go along with your ramen, check out their combo options!

We've only ever dined in so I can't say anything about their take out. If dining in, I recommend getting there early (5-6ish) as the place does tend to fill up quick in the evenings.

I love this spot. So delicious food, with fast service. It might take a minute to be seated, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Curry fries are a must.

Won't let you sit with a dog outside

This place is super cute and has great food. I wasn’t expecting to find great ramen in this area. The ramen was excellent.

One of the Most Unique and Flavorful Truffle Ramen in LA!

All I can say is that I am extremely impressed by this place, I went there not expecting much but man was it BUSTLING for a Sunday near closing but worth the wait.

Ordered the Tonkotsu Black Ramen and it was the star of the show, deep complex flavors in the broth paired perfectly with thin starchy noodles and large chunks of pork that were charred to perfection. Added my own spice to liven it up even more and I’ve never had such a good bowl of ramen. Just WOW.

Also ordered the Crispy Spicy Tuna for an appetizer and it was also really good, large chunks of deepfried rice with a cool and tangy high quality tuna blend.

Please come here and bring your friends! Its not a very large spot but its a very modern and trendy atmosphere with jazz playing.

We were looking for an easy lunch spot after visiting Descanso Gardens and a friend recommended Kontensu. The sushi and ramen were excellent!!! We are definitely coming back here next time we visit the area.

Really good place to eat. Ramen and curry were both amazing! The spicy ramen was pretty spicy just a heads up but was really good.

Everything here was outstanding. The Pork Katsu is particularly excellent. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. Highly recommend this place to anyone who likes good quality Japanese cuisine.

One of the best Ramen in the area. It's not crowded. The food is amazing. The price is only a few dollars more than other places for a much better return. The view is great. Great location. Always happy with every visit.
