This place is the definition of a hidden gem. Unbelievably amazing ramen everything is just right with flavor and spice. Very laid back aesthetic and service was wonderful. I ordered and highly recommend the spicy tonkotsu it was probably the best I have had in Los Angeles. Outside of the amazing ramen they have so much more to offer. I cannot gush over this place enough. If I could I would give it 6 stars out of 5 just for havingSapporo and asahi on draft on top of everything else.

My mom and I both enjoyed our ramen very much. A big bowl that we couldn't finish so it made a wonderful lunch the next day. Lots of other yummy things on the menu and we're looking forward to going back to try something different. Friendly and efficient service as well.

First of all, I wasn't going to leave a bad review even after having a terrible service tonight. I know it was a busy night so I was going to give them a pass. Waited 20 minutes to be seated then I had to flag down someone to take our orders after 30 mins of sitting (so they sit you & just forget about you) & to top it off, I asked for the check & a to go box which also didn't come until 20 minutes later. We had to get up and remind them AGAIN.Food and ambiance are great but tonight's service is not it. Then I come home tonight just to see that they took a $30 tip for our $72 meal without my consent ?? THATS NOT RIGHT.Edited: After getting a response from them regarding this issue, they explained that it was an honest mistake & kindly refunded me +sent me a gift card. I appreciate the quick response in resolving the issue. Therefore I respect them & would give them another chance in the future :)

I loved walking in and seeing the beautiful decor around me. The lighting and the cherry blossom were so beautiful. We walked in and were seated right away. Let's talk about how amazing their food is. The sushi and ramen bowls were so fresh and good. I would love to come back to eat.
Craving for takoyaki and was in the area so had it to go. They have fresh sushi and sashimi and of course their yummy ramen. This is a hidden gem in Montrose.

I ordered a Ramen combo with Tofu miso ramen, a chicken rice bowl, and a salad. It had just the right amount of tanginess and the ramen noodles were perfectly chewy. I also ordered takoyaki as a side, and as a takoyaki lover, I was very satisfied.Parking: The parking lot is spacious, and there's 3 hours of free parking right next to it, so no need to worry about parking.

I have had my Kontentsu for some time, so today, I had a meeting that ended early and I took the opportunity to visit. I am glad that I did. Here are some of the details: Parking: Parking is easy at the plaza has its own parking area, but in addition the location is next to an open lot which has 100 spaces. Parking is free and extremely convenient. Ambiance: Ambiance is honestly one of things I look for in a good restaurant. Kontentsu, has it. Kontentsu give off a chill café vibe and I was comfortable sitting there sipping on my beer for quite some time. The staff were incredibly hospitable and their attention to me was impeccable. Food: For food I ordered the Salmon Maki, Gyudon, and topped it off with a Kirin Lite. I have been looking a for a solid Gyudon for sometime and I was blown away. The meat was tender and they didn't skimp out on the portion either. This was hands down one of best Gyudon's I have had in quite some time. The Salmon Maki didn't disappoint either! Normally you would get maki and the seaweed is already damp and it falls apart on you. Not here, it had the nice crunch to it. The salmon was fresh and sushi rice was on point. Overall, I have been looking for a solid spot to be a regular at for quite sometime. Although I don't live close enough to be regular, I will have this place highlighted for subsequent visits. Came here for dinner around 6 PM on a weekday. Staff was very friendly. The restaurant was nice and clean and there were lots of seats available.We ordered two ramens the fried dumplings, and the poke don. I can't begin to tell you how fresh the pokey was it was by far one of my favorite pokies and very surprising that it was so delicious.Their ramen is full of flavor and very fresh. I like that it is not so heavy and oily so you don't feel too sick after. One thing that I did not like is that they have no prices on their menu and you have to go on their website to see how much everything is. Definitely check this place out if you want something local.
