This place is a local gem. Everything is delicious, served up fresh, quickly and with a smile! Thank you Erica for all your help with the 10 flans. They were a HUGE hit over Thanksgiving holiday. Went for the first time today, had been meaning to for a while but finally popped in. Couldn't have been better - pastries were delicious and very well priced. The lady behind the counter was exceedingly nice and helpful (and patient, I had 3 kids with me).
I'll have to come back for the prepared foods, especially the tamales which looked delicious, but I think this will be my family's go-to spot when we grab a box of goodies to take to the park/travel...

From what I understand, the owner used to work for Porto’s, and while I’ve watched the Porto’s dishes I like go down in quality, because they are farmed out to other producers, the quality and taste of those dishes have stayed the same at Los Alemendros. I like that the shop is a small family run place with his daughters. I also like that they make things in smaller batches, so while things sometimes sell out quickly, it ensures that everything is very fresh and delicious....
