The owners of the restaurant are very kind people and the pastries are amazing . I’ve tried a variety of their treats and every single time I leave very satisfied. If you need any kind of pastry Maksen Cake House is the way to go.

This review is for the to-go slices of cake only. Stopped by for three slices (opera cake, Oreo cake, and Russian honey cake). Unfortunately, not one of the array was any good — two were dry, the last weirdly gummy, and none seem to have been made any time in the recent past. But they were reasonably priced at $3-4 each, at least.

My family and I were in town for my brother's birthday and needed a cake that could feature his DJ logo (shameless plug—Raulie Smilez, go check him out! 😉).
I searched for cake shops nearby and came across Maksen. After seeing their stunning designs, I knew I had to give them a try. I’m so glad I did because the chef/owner was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to bring my vision to life. Not only did the design turn out amazing, but she also worked with me on pricing, had a quick turnaround, and the cake itself was absolutely delicious. We all loved it!

My daughter recently ordered a lemon cake with icing (by phone) for a special occasion. It was a beautiful tall cake with elegant icing that was even more delicious than it looked! I can’t think of a time that I tasted cake as perfect as this one! It was even delivered to the restaurant (on time ) which was a huge help! I highly recommend this bakery.

This cake was absolutely incredible. The filling was so delicious. The frosting was a perfect consistency and balance of creamy and slightly sweet, and the cake itself was just outstanding. The crumb texture! Chef’s kiss. You will be so thankful to have ordered your cake from here - Helen is magic!

Despite all the rush, they provided us with some samples. Not to mention that they were attentive and easy to communicate with. The cake came out same as the sample image that we provided. Just like we asked them, the flavor was not too sweet or strong. It's sure that they use quality ingredients. Highly recommend this place!

Helen is super nice, professional, and customer focused. Really went the extra mile to ensure I felt like my needs were met and was willing to work with me on such a short notice. Strongly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a custom birthday cake.
Found this bakery on Google, I had my daughter’s birthday near by so I wanted to get the cake in the same city. I purchased a slice of cake and it was dryer than the desert. The women that helped me said it was dry because it was already sliced and refrigerated so I took her word for it. I picked up the cake. It was beautiful on the outside and when we cut the cake it was so dry, and there were even dryer pieces. I wish I never bought the cake from her! I knew if I complained I wouldn’t get my money back.

Me and my family came into town for my mother’s surprise birthday party. At the last minute i decided the cake we were going to get her wasn’t as special as i wanted. So i came across Masken bake shop and when i walked in i was created by the owner and she helped me and my family have an amazing party. She made us an amazing cake with beautiful flowers and gold accents and got it done for me even though it was more of a last minute thing. The cake not only was gorgeous but tasted amazing, everyone who was there asked about it! Thank you so much for everything and being such a nice and helping person, amazing job and i highly recommend this place to everyone who doesn’t know about this hidden gem.
