The food was good and satisfying, however, the past few times I’ve been there the seating area is noticeably dirty (uncleared tables, napkins on the floor, spills, etc.). The complementary sauces and utensil table is always unkept but still mostly stocked. The workers are otherwise kind and attentive when placing an order.
The udon here is absolutely delicious—perfectly chewy noodles with a rich, comforting broth that tastes like it’s been simmered with care. Everything feels fresh, well-balanced, and not overly salty, which really lets the flavors shine.
Portions are generous, the ingredients are high quality, and you can tell a lot of thought goes into each bowl. It’s the kind of place you leave already thinking about what you’ll order next time.

Visited Marugame Udon at the Glendale Galleria on a Saturday afternoon, and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The place was **busy** with a **long line**, but it moved fairly quickly. The noodles were **fresh, chewy, and full of flavor**, just like many reviews had mentioned. Despite the crowd, the food quality made the wait worth it. Overall, a great spot for fresh udon—just be prepared for a line during peak hours.
