TUESDAY FOOD REVIEW...NEW MOON (again)...8/12/25!\n\nComing back from Bullseye Glass, we stopped for lunch at New Moon, located at 2138 Verdugo Blvd., in Montrose, CA. We split their Wor Won Ton Soup, and we each had their famous The Original New Moon Chicken Salad. This soup is FANTASTIC, and is not salty whatsoever, as the vegetables and meats flavor it!!! Came here with friends on a Saturday night. When you walk in it is a bar but when you walk through the side its the restaurant. As an Asian I wouldn't call this place authentic Chinese food therefore my 3* rating. The food wasn't bad just doesn't taste like what I'm used to. The hot and sour soup wasn't spicy or sour, Kung pao chicken was missing that Kung pao flavor. I did like the wonton chips at the beginning and the beef chow fun along with beef chow...

It was a beautiful night and we sat on the patio. The waiter was very personable and very attentive and did a good job. I had the egg foo young which has been so long overdue I was absolutely titillated at the opportunity to actually eat it and it was good.
