I really did not enjoy this pizza. I thought it was too expensive for what it was. Also, the tomato sauce was highly acidic. I prefer a sweeter sauce. I had high expectations for this place, but I was incredibly disappointed and will not be back.

Amazing Pizza! If you like thin crust, and great flavor, you will love these guys! We drove from Santa Clarita, and well worth the trip! Both pizza types we had were delicious. Very hard to next level pizza in California!

My goodness. I’m from New Haven and this really holds up. I can practically taste the nostalgia.

Tomato pie sauce was way too acidic and did not have a deep flavor at all

I went here after reading, amazing reviews. I got a sausage pizza and paid for extra cheese, extra mushrooms and extra red onions. What I received was a sorry excuse for a Pizza… there was basically no cheese. The crust was too large. You could tell the ingredients were good but whoever put the pizza together must’ve had a horrible day. Also, do not get a side salad. I literally had to spit it out. I literally would’ve rather had Domino’s and I hate Domino’s.

Ok. Not great, overrated.. Certainly not terrible but nothing special whatsoever. Pizza in Los Angeles is below average.

Took a trip to LA, and after seeing portnoy's review, I had to give this place a shot. Who wouldn't want New Haven Abeetz in California? Took 3 friends with me, and we ordered 3 pizza's... A vegan cheese for my vegan friend, along with a Red Pizza, and a bada bing... we ordered a few salads, and some drinks. Personally i loved the red pizza, though my 2 non vegan friends looked at it wondering why it didn't have cheese. For us, it was the lowest rated meal of the trip to LA, with the entire party declaring it was "okay", not great, not terrible, just okay. Living in Arizona, and not knowing any better, plus the Portnoy review, we had high hopes for this place, but it didn't live up to the Portnoy hype train. Dave's reviews are great, and mostly spot on, but if you're truly looking for New Haven style, you'll be disappointed. The people working the register/making the pizza were friendly, and the food came out reasonably fast so thumbs up on the service. The salads were fine, though a bit pricey for what you received. Dave makes a point of saying because this place doesn't have a coal oven, it's not really New Haven style... but that can't be the only thing making or breaking this place, it's just not that great, coal or no coal. It's a perfectly fine pizza, but when you hype it up as Abeetz, you better be prepared to represent, and they fall short of that goal. They are a new place, and may be working it out, but gotta be true to my review of a pizza place based on what THEY claim, not what i claim. Overall, it's a solid 3 star pizza... nothing bad, nothing great, and if you're looking for great, my fellow diners claimed there are many better places in LA. It was the only pizza on this trip, so I can only rate it as i ate it. No inside seating, all under pergolas which were fine, and the way they have it set up, you do get some privacy, but if the weather is off, such as the day we went, very windy, and blew our napkins, plates, etc off the table, so be prepared in case the weather is bad, you won't want to eat there. But, it was a very nice area.

Great to see places like this popping up in the Glendale area. Pizzas are about a size of a medium. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere and restaurant was nice, but the food is not something i would go back for. There was so little cheese on the cheese pizza, and it didn't taste good. The person taking our order said the pizza was 14 inches, it was not, it was barely 10 inches. Overall the pizza is overhyped and there are tons of better pizzas out there for half the price. No one in our party liked the pizza. What really messed up the experience is the music. They were playing loud rock music in a restaurant that had an italian villa vibe. Dont get me wrong, i liked the music, but maybe in a dive bar setting, but not here. When i asked the bartender about the music, he started yelling and saying I dont control the music. It's an ipad. After a minute, he lowered the volume, but the overreaction to a simple question was uncalled for. Terrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and don't come here for the food, maybe just the atmosphere and drinks. Get ready for annoying music and terrible customer service from the bartender. No one liked any of the pizzas we got and we won't be coming back.

$5 for a can of coke is a rip off just like the burnt to a crisp pizza you have to wait a hour for. Skip this place.
