I came here with very high expectations, as this place is quite well known. I would strongly recommend making a reservation in advance, especially on weekends, as the wait time can easily exceed an hour.
Unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations. The kabab barg was not bad, but the taste wasn’t for me, and overall it lacked the wow factor I was hoping for. I was expecting more depth and flavor based on the restaurant’s reputation, but it didn’t quite deliver.
That said, the atmosphere really stood out. It genuinely reminded me of Iran, which was nostalgic and enjoyable, and the ambiance was warm and lively.
The mast mousir was excellent and easily one of the highlights of the meal. I do think the experience would be much better if the restaurant made its own bread, as the bread served felt lower quality compared to the rest of the offering.
Overall, it was a nice experience for the atmosphere, but the food didn’t leave a strong impression, and it’s probably not a place I would revisit while in LA.

Oscar was a fantastic server! We had the Tabbouleh & Ikra as apps and some delicious Ash-e Reshteh soup before Shish Kabob. Everything came out super fast and huge portions. The flavors were perfect. A great place ran by great people.

The food was absolutely outstanding ! every dish we ordered was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The grilled meats were perfectly cooked, the rice was fragrant and fluffy, and the appetizers were bursting with authentic Armenian flavors. It’s the kind of meal that stays with you long after you've finished.
What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely cared that we were having a great time. Everything ran smoothly, and we never felt rushed despite how busy the restaurant was.
Raffi's Place is more than just a restaurant in Los Angeles, it’s a place where you can create lasting memories over amazing food. We’ll definitely be coming back, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I visit Raffi's every time I am in Glendale. They have the best kebabs, the food is fresh, flavourful and reasonably priced. The service is so attentive - never disappoints.
