Excellent food and portions. We went here for a birthday and they were so accommodating. They were knowledgeable about gluten free options as well for those with celiac.
Amazing food and service. Tried the chicken koobideh plate. Big portions. Rice and Shirazi salad were also on the spot. Will come again. Lots of seating.
We stumbled into here as it looked like the most interesting option of all the restaurants in the area. There seemed to be a lot of restaurants selling similar things, but this one definitely stood out with all the people and cars hanging out front.
I’m not the biggest fan when it comes to food from this part of the world, but man oh man, I was surprised. Half the time I didn’t even know what I was eating, and I had to stop the waiter several times to ask, but I still went to nom-nom town. The bread that they served was deceptively thin and really packed into that tray. I thought it was one piece, but it was probably twenty! We thought we were close to running out before we finished our appetizer, which was some sort of eggplant goodness, the waiter sniped us with another two trays of the bread. They came out of nowhere!
Both the beef plate and the lamb plate were generous portions. The beef was great, but the lamb is where it’s at. I’d love to take another go at taking the full lamb load into my mouth. Oh so good, with the really strong lamb flavors. The Armenian beer was the perfect thing to wash everything down. Looking forward to returning to try the rest of the menu.
The beef koobideh and beef barg are one of the best. However, rack of lamb and the khoresht are below average. Service is typically below average

After waiting an hour to be seated we were surprised by people sitting on the next table bringing their dog inside the restaurant. Rafi should not allow this type of nonsense. Very disappointed!!!

The waiter’s service was absolute trash. He chose to be sarcastic and insult. The waiter assumed we were first timer’s. He chose to bicker back and forth about the menu. His ego outsized his job. He intentionally placed one plate to go and one for dine in to upset our table and smiled when he saw how bothered we were and said “you don’t mind right?” The “manager” was informed but had no interest in resolving the issue. Very discriminatory atmosphere due to pure assumption of us.
To end the night, the valet marked pen on our white leather car seats.
We have been here several times but will definitely spread word about this recent disgusting experience.

THe food was excellent. My wife and I was a little hesitant until we arrived and place was packed with large families. We got seated right away and food took about 5 minutes. The attention to detail was amazing. THe lamb shank was amazing. Highly reccomend.

Last weekend, I visited Los Angeles from Texas, excited to try some authentic Persian food. My friends highly recommended Raffi’s Place, so we decided to give it a go.
We arrived at 3 PM, long after the lunch rush, but there was still a big line. The reception took my number and said the wait would be an hour. Hungry but optimistic, we stepped out to grab coffee. After 40 minutes, I got the text and rushed back. It took me just six minutes to return, but the receptionist insisted we were removed from the list because it had been “more than 15 minutes.” Despite showing her the message timestamps, she acted as if I was lying and told me to step aside to be re-added to the waitlist.
After finally being seated, the waiter informed us that, despite being able to order appetizers, any main course would take another hour due to how busy they were. We sampled the tahdig with ghorme and gheime stews, which was just okay not crispy at all, but when it came to the main course, the waiter claimed we never placed an order. At this point, it had been 2.5 hours since arriving, and we still had no food.
The service was appalling. Tap water wasn’t served unless specifically requested, and refills only came after asking multiple times. The staff was rude, unapologetic, and lacked the friendliness you’d expect in the hospitality business.
When the food finally arrived, it was underwhelming. The lubia polo was excessively greasy, and the kabob was undercooked and overly loaded with onion. Overall, the food was average at best, but the poor service, attitude, and excessive wait times ruined the experience.
Raffi’s Place may have a loyal customer base, but I certainly won’t be visiting again. Not worth the hype or hassle.

One of the best Persian restaurants in LA! The food is incredibly delicious, and the portion sizes are just right. They offer takeout, but keep in mind that they don’t accept reservations—it's first come, first served. It can get quite busy during lunch and dinner. I highly recommend this place! They also provide convenient parking and valet services
