We love the food and the service. The indoor/outdoor patio allows us to bring the dog. I love the mango iced tea and the chicken kabobs are outstanding.
I gave five stars, but I wouldn't have minded having had the speakers tucked a little bit more...
We arrived at the restaurant on time and the restaurant was closed due to a problem in the kitchen! We didn't receive any advance notice of the closing. We had driven in rush hour traffic from Pasadena and were disappointed and frustrated. We had the same experience two weeks ago with a restaurant in Pasadena, only this one was permanently closed. The problem isn't with the restaurants; it's with this app! Have the courtesy to let customers know in advance before they drive to the restaurant.
Up till yesterday this place was our favorite place because of the excellent food, Unfortunately we had a bad experience with their personnel, The hostess walked us to our table, Told us that someone was going to take our order… That was it, After that It seems that we we were not visible to anyone, not even water was brought to our table, After 40 minutes waiting we decided to leave, When leaving we let the hostess know the reason as to why we were leaving she simply said. “Ok”, Kudos to the employee that validated our parking stub, He didn’t asked if we were arriving or leaving he simply gave us the validation ticket. Please do not take this comment as a bad review, the food is excellent.
We took our three grandchildren for a special Christmas dinner. Though they had not had a lot of Mediterranean food prior they did love the food. Our server was helpful and gracious. And how lovely the owner came over to make sure everything was ok. We'll definitely be back.
Delicious offerings. Everything was freshly made. The Greek salad, falafel, tahini sauce... all so good!

I ordered a small lentil soup and falafel plate. The soup was only 3 spoon full and my falafel was SUPER overcooked

Meat and fish is very dry & mediocre. Overpriced

Food was good, but the best things about Salt & Olive are atmosphere and service.
The baba ganoush was a bit strange compared to the many I’ve tried, but not bad. Hummus was good. Beef koobideh plate I had was good with generous portions.
Service was excellent (we had a party of 6) and dog friendly covered patio was very nice.
Why did I only give 4 stars? I’m a food first reviewer for restaurants. While food was good, it wasn’t stand out.

If you are looking for a persian style kabob stay away from there, their kabob and shish kabob wasn't tasty at all no seasoning... the kabob wasn't juicy it was dry and hard to chew. Atmosphere needed a jazz or calm music. Service was good. No spoon for rice, you have to eat your rice with fork.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and friendly service, but the kebabs could use more seasoning to truly match Mediterranean flavor. A bit of traditional spice or herb blend would make a big difference and bring out the authentic taste.
We had a great experience. Food was great and the atmosphere outside is amazing.
