I really love this place and the sushi here. But today the situation of the staff shocked me. We drove from Pasadena specifically to this place, and managed to arrive 20 minutes before closing. I'm pregnant now and all I wanted this evening was sushi from this place. The staff saw that I was pregnant and really wanted it, all they said was “we are already closed”! Although People were still sitting and eating inside. They didn't offer to order to go or anything. All they said was "the restaurant is closed." Although there were still 20 minutes before closing! I really wanted to eat food from your restaurant, but because of the refusal, I even burst into tears because I was denied any service. I will never visit or recommend this place to anyone again! Thank you.

I recently dined at Sushi Story and it exceeded my expectations. The food was a perfect 10 out of 10, with generous portions. I had the Spicy Unagi Roll and the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box, both delicious. The service was great too. I highly

We love this place for consistently quality sushi. The fish is fresh, the rolls are creative, and the service is excellent. We've been many times now, and it's nice that it's so consistently comfortable with quality sushi.

I remember this spot when it used to be “Ichiban” and it felt like the same setup with subtle differences. Went here on Father’s Day because Vegas Buffet was too packed. We started with Calamari tempura which was delicious and the sauce is what I liked the most. The Chicken karaage was also delicious especially with the tempura sauce. The Soft shell crab was ok and a little too batter heavy. The Salmon skin salad was delicious also. The Rainbow roll was pretty good and the Salmon collar was perfectly seasoned/cooked. The sweet shrimp sushi was one of the best I’ve tried and with the crispy fried heads it was solid.I’d definitely come back to check out their other menu items. Parking is at structure across the street.

Horrifically rude woman at the phone. I call in to ask to speak to a manager and she hangs up the phone when I ask to only give my name and number.I call back and she says there are no managers and hangs up! She most likely didn't leave a complaint so its going here since apparently whoever runs this place has little care and puts up with employees like this!
Sushi Story is the best casual dining sushi in LA. The freshest fish, the most interesting and delicious rolls, and the kindest and most caring staff. Go order the yellowtail sashimi, a superman burrito, and thank me later.
Parking: Free 90 minute parking right next to Sushi Story in a Glendale public garage.
Great. Everything was perfect. Delicious sushi comparable to their nearby competitors.

Have a soy allergy. I bring my own sauce and can enjoy sushi that way. I ordered a rainbow roll as the description didn’t say any sauce however it arrived with a soy sauce topping. I mentioned when it arrived I can’t have soy sauce due to allergy. They didn’t take it away/ask if I wanted something else/or offer to comp it. I just had to order a new one and paid for both. Very Frustrating.
Tempura rolls were too dry, thick and sticky.Spicy tuna was OK.

I don't normally write google reviews but I felt compelled to for this spot, I've been coming here for years, never had a single bad experience, food tastes great and is very reasonably priced considering the location, taste, portions, and quality relative to other asian restaurants in the area (better than most if not all). Great menu variety, noodles, sushi, plates, all fantastic.
The first time I tried there sushi it was good but the second time it was cold moldy and it had the longest peace of hair I have seen in my life.So I recommend you not to go here!!!
Really good. Wish they had all you can eat option
We've been coming here way way back and still the best place when you're in the area. Must try the Glendale Roll. ?? but last time i ordered the BSCR its the best! ❤️
