Not from the area but was looking for a place to eat. I can eat anywhere but my wife prefers Mexican food and I found this little hole in the wall and it was good. I don't normally eat Tortas but I had to try and it was good. Salsas are ok nothing to brag about. Definitely going back if I'm in town.

This is one of our favorite quick bites. Whether it's a family pack on the run (around $25) or lengua tacos before a movie, this spot does not disappoint. The atmosphere at the restaurant was inviting, and all the employees were engaging and happy. The Food tasted really good. However, I did have to remove one star, because the way they chopped their chicken. I had a chicken torta, and it was diced up into Little cubes. When you try to take a bite it all, fell out of the sandwich, which made it very messy. That would be my only downside.

My husband and I are fans of the Tortas de Carne Asadas— I don’t eat much meat, but their tortas de carne asada are simply irresistible! For a little place next to Vons I was thoroughly impressed with #1 Service by Andrew and Torta by Felisa 💕 #2 cleanliness and continual cleanup by Andrew; and he was taking Phone orders with patience 🤗 plus the atmosphere was very pleasant. I'll be returning and definitely Recommending ☺

Tortas tasted bland. The Milanesa steaks come without being breaded. When I asked about that the manager told me that they are breaded but very lightly. I swear it must be so light that when cooked it burns off completely. Bread didn't have flavor either. No seasoning on the steak either - maybe it too is seasoned but lightly.
There milanesa torta is very delicious, the platanos con crema are really good also

I ordered 2 tortas which where fine good but I also ordered a menudo and that was a joke first off menudo always comes with tortillas didnt get and and then they literally gave me a small cup that was about 6oz big and they charged me 17.00 dollars for the menudo that ridiculous I've always like this place but I will never come here again

Omg loved the food!!! Street tacos, burrito, papusas (mixed) with cortido and salsa roja. All tastes like homemade by Salvadorian and Mexican grandmothers. Great salsa and cold drinks. The Owner came and spoke to us and he is super nice and enjoyed seeing us loving his restaurant's food. Great guy!! I strongly recommend the food. It was best food in Montrose!
Parking: It's in a shopping center so probably has 100 spots to park for free as long as you need. Next door to Vons.

I had several papusas which were really good! They were made fresh and some of the best I've had. Great sauce selection and accompanying sides made Tortas Mexico a restaurant I will return to again and again.
