One of my favorite places in LA. I like food and friendly staff. I tried lahmajun, shawarma, but jy favorite is zhengyalov hats! Also you should try their herbal tea!

Wow! I've never eaten much Armenian food, but I figured heck, why not? Was not disappointed! I got their namesake, and LOVE IT! All those herbs chopped up and wrapped up? On top of that, the mint and thyme tea? Yeah... I was sort of suffering some weird thing where I kept having to clear my throat. Tons of "ahems" and other old people noises ??. But just a bite of that Zhengyalov Hatz, and honestly I was healed! Some of the best food, and quite healthy! For sure, I'm coming back, and I'm bringing friends!

Such a charming spot that makes you wish you could sit there and enjoy a leisurely breakfast with friends or family. During my visit, I noticed a family savoring their Zengyalov, accompanied by stunning teapots that added to the inviting atmosphere.
The customer service was truly exceptional—attentive and welcoming, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. As for the Zengyalov itself, I found the flavors delightful and refreshing; it was a new culinary adventure for me. However, I did notice a slight bitter aftertaste, which might have been from the parsley or dill used in the filling.
Overall, I found the dish quite enjoyable and definitely worth the hype. That said, it seemed simple enough to recreate at home, especially since you can easily find the dough or bread at a nearby Armenian market. I look forward to returning and trying more dishes from their menu!

Simple but very tasty zhengyalov hatz. They're herby and lightly seasoned. I'm so happy that it's naturally vegan (just the hatz, not the baklava). They also reheat very nicely, so they're great to take to-go. Highly recommended!
We also got the tarragon lemonade drink which was super interesting and tasty. Next time I'll have to try the tea!

Freshly made lavache with greens. That is the only thing on the menu and is geared towards vegans. Looks like there may be shawarma coming soon.
