Small cozy place definitely a hidden gem, hand rolls are delicious. Don't forget to pair it with a cold beer. Great fun atmosphere, Margaret & Richie are absolutely the best people around.Kid-friendliness: Margaret & Richie are very helpful and will accommodate to your needs.

Favorite sushi spot in Covina area! Very fresh traditional rolls as well as creative specialty rolls. Cozy atmosphere. My new go to spot.

**Rating with a small child**My 4 year old and I came here on a weekday evening and were pleased how empty it was. We go to many sushi places together and he always orders the same things - tamago sushi, karage chicken, edamame - so I was hoping for a quick in/out dining experience. The ambiance was cozy - my kid likes to sit at the sushi counter and he loved the money tree.My son ordered lemonade, but when it came out, he said it tasted weird. I tried it, and it definitely came watered down / not good, so we returned it and got sprite instead. Oh well. The edamame came out fast, but the rest of our order took a while, despite there only being about 3 other tables. The chicken was... bland... it wasn't the usual karage that we are so used to, this was just crispy bland chicken. It came with a sauce which helped, but karage normally doesn't need to be dipped in sauce. My scallop dynamite roll was okay. It wasn't anything to rave about and it was to be expected. A little expensive for what it was, but I think that's market price. We were starting to feel quite full when my kid said "where's my tamago?" You're right - where is that tamago?! I asked the server and he checked the back, and said it was coming. But it still took another 15mins to finally get our order. We were so full, he could only eat one piece, but he said it was good. We boxed up the rest of our food and called it a night. Our waitress was kind and gave my son complimentary ice cream which was a nice gesture.Overall, food is nothing to rave about and service for a weeknight was slow. It was an average experience, and totally acceptable with a child.

Fish is fresh and the chef gives amazing recommendations. This is a family owned place so there is only one chef but it's worth the wait! The service is friendly, price a little on the higher side. When it comes to sushi I'd rather pay a little more to get a better quality meal.

From the outside you might think the place is big but you will surprise limited seating area because of that gets packed and you have to wait gets really busy . Only one server for the whole restaurant . The sushi chef is by the bar area where we got seated one man chef. Food is really fresh made to order but again it takes a while I do understand since he's by himself making sushi for quiet a few people he gets behind. Sushi tastes really good fresh and authentic . I think will be better to come early ordered pretty much most of their specials and all tasted amazing . Will definitely comeback and explore but this time early ...
