We went for lunch and were seated right away. We ordered off the reasonably priced lunch menu. I had mongolian beef and my husband had pork chop suey. Soup, rice, and a spring roll were included. Portion sizes were just right for us and the food was delicious! The restaurant was clean and the server was attentive. We'll definitely go back!

We didn’t take any photos of our food but instead just planned to enjoy it. Everything here is fantastic. The food is so flavorful and delicious that we ended up coming two days in a row. We now have the location starred in our Google Maps. Highly recommended.

The veg chow mein tasted better than most other chinese places. It didnt have a huge pool of oil at the bottom and it was just enough salty + savory. Fried rice also didn't have a ladle of oil under the rice and tasted kinda al dente. The fried rice didn't feel super clumpy or super heavy with over oiling/egging when I tried it which was a nice. It tasted like light, airy and clumpy. You can actually eat it with other things like beef without feeling like an oil massage.

Red Lantern in Glendora is a bit of a hidden spot—I stopped by recently and had mixed feelings.

The food itself was delicious, and they offer a pretty solid lunch special that makes it an affordable option if you’re in the area. Portions are generous, and the flavors hit the spot, so no complaints there.

That said, the restaurant itself has a strong smell when you walk in, and it was completely empty when I visited. It definitely seems like this place runs mostly as a takeout spot rather than dine-in, which makes sense. The parking lot is also a little sketchy and not the easiest to navigate, so just something to keep in mind if you’re planning to stop by.

Overall, the food is worth it, especially for takeout or if you’re craving something tasty on a lunch break, but I probably wouldn’t choose it as a sit-down dining experience.

Ok I was very pleasantly surprised at the amazing value of my lunch at the Red Lantern. Got the generous portion of orange chicken. So tasty! It comes with soup rice and an egg roll. Even includes a pot of hot green tea! All for $12.99. Super delicious. Nice clean atmosphere. This is my new go to for Chinese lunch. So satisfied! Wow. 😀

In town visiting my husband’s grandparents thought we would have Chinese food for dinner. Bad Idea we should’ve known by us walking in and being the only people in the restaurant. we ordered sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken I couldn’t help but wonder if it was actually chicken if you know what I mean
😬 the “chicken” was super tough and chewy it did not break up in your mouth. We finish up eating as I choked a few pieces down before I couldn’t eat it anymore Then to top it off as I’m waiting for my husband to come back from using the restroom. I see a grey cat walking inside the restaurant! And another cat in the kitchen after the lady walked our plates to the back! Now I’m really wondering what we actually ate for dinner
đŸ€źđŸ˜Ź I pointed out the cat and the waiter acted like it was normal “oh we feed the cats the back door is open so they can come inside “ this is far from normal and so against health code stray cats with possible diseases in a restaurant! I’m beyond disgusted would give them a 0 start if possible!

We Lanterns after an appointment decided to come to Red Lantern. It has been awhile since we have been here.

Also it was Chinese New Year. The year of the Snake.

The service was great. The owner/server was taking care quite a few tables when we arrived there.

She brought our drinks. She was courteous, polite and she took our order. We did order lunches from the lunch menu and ordered a few other dishes to share. We had alot of stuff to share and take home for dinner.

I would recommend this place.

This was a last-minute decision dining experience, and I don't regret it at all. Casual atmosphere. The service was friendly, the food was tasty and the prices were great. Will definitely be back.
