Beans are fantastic southern baked beans, just like my Oklahoma family makes them. 10/10
Coleslaw is creamy but light, a healthy alternative, would recommend 9/10
Nashville fries aren’t worth getting, like a worse McDonald’s fry + bland spicy seasoning 1/10
Chicken, moist tender and crispy, not the biggest fan of the seasoning 7/10 (yall should tone down the salt by 10%, half the black pepper and replace it with white pepper)
Dipping sauce… oh, they forgot my dipping sauces for my takeout order :( I was gonna try the JFC and peach mustard but they forgot and now I have nothing to dip my chicken in, ahhh cluck
The beans are by far the best thing I got, and for the money, and screwing up a basic $30 order, I won’t be coming back. I’d rather drive to canes 40 min away or get KFC. Ehh, I don’t know. It’s different than KFC and canes is a trek.
It’s aight, and I bet the chicken would be better if I had sauce to dip it in :(
If you can’t tell, I’m sad I didn’t get any sauce especially the peach mustard, I was really looking forward to trying that.
Oh well, fool me once 🤷♂️
Would recommend to get once and never again, for the beans lol. Everything else you can find elsewhere

I had to stop eating and write this review. I don’t know how this place ended up here, but I’m glad it did! Chicken, perfectly fried, Mac and cheese, delicious. Cole slaw…this is the one I’m so picky about because I enjoy Southern food a lot for a little white girl from Chicago lol but most places miss the mark…and this was some of the best I ever had! The lady who took my order was also sweet as pie! Will definitely be returning the next time I’m in town!

The spicy chicken sandwich was amazing, so much flavor and a good amount of sauce. Huge sandwich and super filling so prices are reasonable. The deserts are also amazing. Good vanilla wafer banana pudding. Staff was also excellent. Gem in old town Goleta for sure.
The signature sandwich was juicy and pickles were a nice touch. The Korean sandwich didn't hit the mark for me but that's ok the main items are definitely the draw! Will be back to try the other menu items though. Worth the drive out there.
