It's worth the drive as the food is excellent and always tastes great. The Mesa Burger is simple but full of flavor. Try the Onion Rings if you want to upgrade from fries as they are both good.

We understand that sh!t happens and we usually never write reviews, but as business owners my wife and I understand that constructive criticism makes businesses stronger in the end, so here it goes… Gonna try to keep it short and to the point, but there’s a lot to say. Long hard work day so didn’t feel like cooking and absolutely starving. Wife picks up our food and when she gets home my burger was absolutely 100% raw! Maybe on the grill for 10 seconds! See photo… Both of our burgers were not what we ordered, her portion of fries was a small handful and my salad greens were wilted and had no dressing and we asked/ paid for extra dressing. We drove back and the manager was very apologetic and nice and re made our order. Checked our order before we left and everything looked ok. Got home, ate the food and was absolutely not impressed. Burgers were cooked this time, but bland. Salad was still wilted and bitter. There was also something in our salad that resembled a small succulent!? See photo… Over all it was a terrible experience. What really surprised us is the manager didn’t even offer to comp our meal or offer us a gift card. We are absolutely not ones to expect handouts, but as business owners we understand what it takes to make customers happy and this was not one of those times.

Best burger in Goleta! Best burger in the Galaxy! Fries are delicious too! Incredible staff, very friendly and accommodating. Clean and inviting dining room! Don't miss this fantastic spot! Close to the Tesla supercharger, which makes it a fantastic stop!

Absolutely delicious onion rings and dips! There's only one veggie burger and it sounded like a bizarre combination of items, but it all worked so great together!The only issue is that it is like $17 for a burger and the fries I got were old, stale, and cold. I would love to come back but for the price, I would rather go elsewhere.

I met up with some family members at the Goleta Mesa Burger for what was supposed to be a pleasant Sunday lunch. There was an untrained girl working the till who had to be shown how everything was done, so it took a while to place my order. I chose the Mesa Burger, and when it arrived the patty was pink and almost raw. I took it back to the counter and the girl said "oh, did you want it well done?" She said they'd do it again for me, so I went back to my seat, and waited. And waited, and waited. Eventually I asked the waitress whether my order would be ready soon and she clearly hadn't put it in: she asked "what was it you wanted again?" A few minutes later, she served my re-done order - still pink and underdone. By then the rest of my group had finished their lunches, and I wasn't in the best of moods. I went up to the counter and asked for a refund. It took two people about ten minutes to figure out how to do that. Mesa Burger have almost doubled their prices since lockdown, but I have no idea how their customers can possibly be satisfied with this low standard of customer service and poorly cooked food. For half the price and for much better quality food, I'll stick to In-n-Out Burger and will be telling friends to avoid Mesa Burger.
