The tri-tip burrito should be called the rice burrito because it is nothing but rice. My God even if you make me a smaller burrito cuz you don't want to put in too much meat just reduce the amount of rice in it. It's ridiculous.

My wife and I shared their chicken and tri tip combo and ate on the patio with our dog. I thought both meats were tasty. The beans were okay, but the rice was somewhat dry. There's not much decor outside, but the inside looks pleasant.

The best chicken even better than el pollo loco I was told they cook it with mesquite that gives it that amazing flavor.

It somehow got in my head that this was the best BBQ ever…Needless to say the marketing was better than the food lol.

I ordered the tri tip burrito and the 2 piece chicken. Prices were reasonable so I mistakenly thought the portions would be small. Wrong. Not only were the chicken piece’s meaty but the burrito was huge and all was delicious. Great salsa bar and friendly staff. I live in San Diego but visit my hometown Goleta every couple weeks. This is my new go to! Highly recommend!

It’s great but the salsa is not spicy at all like the de la Vina one I love chicken ranch but I feel like the de la vina one somehow is better in salsas and food but don’t go to the de la vina one because a rude heavyset cashier

Only go to the Goleta one if I’m in Goleta for errands

Beloved Santa Barbara institution specializing in grilled chicken & tri-tip. Order by the 1/4, 1/2, or full pound, in addition to other variations. Cash & credit cards accepted. Mostly indoor but some outdoor seating. Online and phone-ahead ordering as well as walk-in.

Grilled meat is the name of the game here, and it's a good game! Chicken is always highly flavorful. Their tri-tip beef is cooked to medium (or just above, in my opinion) and tender and delicious. You can order platters with just chicken, just tri-tip, or a combination of the two. Rice and beans are nothing special but not bad. They have good salsa options included in-house roasted salsa, as well as pickled jalapenos and onions.

Highly recommended!

Vegetarian options: Maybe if you only order sides. Otherwise, it's a meat-oriented place.

Dietary restrictions: Inquire carefully.

Parking: Large parking lot shared with a variety of other merchants.

Kid-friendliness: Kid & family-friendly.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.

TV ad is misleading. Instead of the “best chicken I ever ate,” it was the worst chicken I ever ate. It was overcooked, lacked flavor and dry. Sorry.

Nevermind the dried out, flavorless chicken cut into annoyingly odd pieces, the salsa bar is a pool of salmonella! Yuck, just yuck!

The food was great. The two guys at the counter today around noon were perfect to work with and had a great attitude.
