I've eaten at Silvergreens twice. While it's now temporarily closed due to Covid-19, I do hope it will reopen and am giving it four stars because it is one of a few places in Isla Vista that genuinely (mostly; see the end of my review for why not) caters to vegans. If it weren't for this, I would be giving the place three stars--or, actually, I wouldn't be eating there, since I'm vegan, lol. So the fourth star is for Silvergreens' vegan options. Are you kidding! The best, I'll keep this name over Kyle's kitchen any day. I like a nice salad w a side of burger or maybe some soft brown bread or some soup. Oh let's have clam chowder!

I came here the first day I was attempting to be vegan. I had vegetable soup, oat bread, and fruit salad. The vegan options at this restaurant were so good that they gave me hope that I could potentially be vegan for the rest of my life. Flash forward to 5 weeks later, and I can say with confidence that I would NEVER be vegan again. But the fact that this restaurant had me fooled, means that their food is magnificent.
