This was a great coffee shop on Calle Real. Always busy, clean and friendly staff. And really good coffee! Sorry to report that today (1/12/24) is its last day of business. Seems they lost their lease. This Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf was the last location on the South Coast. At one time there were five Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf businesses in Goleta, three in Santa Barbara and one in Carpinteria. We will miss it!!

Beautiful wood decor, great light during the day. But, disappointingly, the oven is shut down at 6pm? So no warm food for two hours before the cafe closes? Also, please bring back ceramic mugs, I don't want to-go cups when I plan to be at the cafe.

Rude. They also won’t take a phone order when their app isn’t working. Arrived 7:55 and they said they were closed. Used to work at the one in Montecito and we never turned someone away even 1 min before closing.

I will start off by saying that as a kid, I used to LOVE coming to coffee bean. It was always a special treat. I was obsessed with the pure chocolate and loved sitting inside with my mom while she had her own coffee. Brings back a lot of happy memories! However, unfortunately as an adult I can now understand why so many locations have closed and why people have started to veer away from Coffee Bean in the past few years. The quality has gone way, way down. The store is really not super well kept. The employees don't seem very happy :( today i ordered a decaf iced coffee with vanilla and as simply as that might sound, it tasted extremely watery. I have rooted for Coffee Bean so hard in the past, but unfortunately the time has come for me to give up on this. Thanks for all the good mems Coffee Bean. I would definitely suggest Dean Coffee in Goleta or even Starbucks if you really like chains as much as it hurts me to suggest that over Coffee Bean nowadays.

I was looking for a quiet place to study with outlets, this place had both. Just wish it closed a little later than 8pm. As a busy mom, I only have time for myself in the evenings. My chai latte was delicious.

I used to go here regularly when living here full time. I decided to stop in again. Ordered a large iced mocha. No one was calling out orders when made. Confused 6 of us waiting for orders. Went up and asked what each drink was, that we couldn’t hear them. She said that they did. I pointed to all of us waiting and said “non of us heard a thing”. Then asked about a drink on a wooden table. She said they were to go orders. I said where does it say that. There is no sign. Finally got my drink, and they had made a small. Same girl said she didn’t see that when she made it but would now make it if I wanted to wait. You have to be kidding me. Please management, get some people who respect the customer.I placed my drink back on the to go area and said “keep it” and left. Did not ask for a refund. The same girl had the audacity to yell out, there is a free iced mocha up here.Geez us… just be wary that you can’t hear and they are used to being the bosses… customers choice

Ordered a decaf latte but I wasn’t paying attention when they called out the drink. So the drink sat there for 10min and got cold. They took the initiative to make me a new one. Coffee was tasty. The taste was more fragrant than strong. Just my personal favorite.

My oh my, I love my daily coffee from here! So much better than Starbucks. I actually feel welcomed here and the kiddos love it! Lines are never long and my app works wonders! Glad there is still one coffee bean in SB county! PS the coffee mugs are so cute! My hubby would not like if I brought one home LOL.
