Asian Garden Restaurant (Grass Valley, CA) Scam??? On October 16, 2025, I was using a 2-for-1 coupon and ordered online. There was no notification on the coupon, and no notification when I was ordering online that I had to call-in an order for the 2-for-1 coupon to be applied. I asked for a refund of $15.00 but the restaurant owner? manager? would not comply. This was Order #065cc562 made on 10/16/2025. I was told that I could not get a refund because the order was made through DoorDash but there was no notification on the coupon and no notification during the online ordering, and no note on the receipt that I was ordering through DoorDash. I am guessing that this is not the first time that a customer has ordered online and brought in their 2-for-1 coupon only to be told that they had to call in their order for the coupon to be valid; and if my guess is correct then the restaurant owner has failed to change the text of their coupons to rectify this problem which calls into question their integrity.

New York it’s better
I was a regular. I am not anymore. They have rude customer service, and when you need to talk to a manager they are never there. This is what my money paid for liquidity and watery not to mention they drop my hot package of hot sauce on the floor. I didnt mind it as much because it was still in the container. But the grin on both the customer service face was very rude ! I wasn't going to even write an review. However I have been eating there sense I was a child. This not acceptable behavior from any customer service !!! This post will not allow me to post the picture of what my Mongolian beef looked like.

We have been eating at Asian Garden for 20+ years when we visit family in Grass Valley and it's always great. The Mu Shu pork, Sweet & Sour pork and War Wonton soup are our regulars and are delicious! The portions are generous, the prices are fair and the service is spot on.

FYI: If you eat here you'd better leave a hefty tip, otherwise you might have our experience. The host, manager, or owner, (not sure), followed us out, handed our tip back to us, and told us to go to MacDonalds.
I haven’t been here in many years. The service was good. Everyone was friendly. The food had no flavor. Chicken tasted like the worst quality money can buy. We will not be coming back.

Overall, good experience, with the two entrees tasty and flavors well mixed. We got sesame chicken and basil eggplant with tofu. No complaints there.
The hot and sour soup to-go was scalding hot fifteen minutes after we brought it home. Not great in a plastic container. It smelled rank when we opened it. Inedible.
Have had better nights here.
Maybe let your soup cool a little before dishing it into disposable plastic. Not sure what was with the aroma.
