“Mmm i love their shrimp tacos! Nearly everything I’ve tried on this menu is delicious! Lived in this area for 8 years and never been disappointed! Those bread balls are beyond delicious!”
“In October, I was staying at an Airbnb nearby and went here for lunch and the food is delicious! The salads and sandwiches are tasty and very fresh. The peach pie was ammmmazing! They have pies in 2 sizes regular $25 and small $10. They also have delicious jams. I bought an apricot preserve for $10. That was also very good. The restaurant has benches around the establishment outside, or there is indoor seating. It does get busy and frequently has a line, but the food is worth it.Vegetarian options: Very tasty salads”
“Best early morning breakfast spot...and opens the earliest too. Great food and serviceVegetarian options: French fries, salads,Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room to get a wheelchair in”

“Amazing burger joint with every burger available in vegan or vegetarian option. Also an excellent vegan shake available. Great selection of fries; garlic, pesto, sweet potato.Vegetarian options: Most menu items available in vegan and vegetarian options”
“As a treat, my husband and I hit up SPC every other month or so for brunch. We get there early-ish and sit at the bar. My usual is either the lobster or mushroom Benedict with a side of fruit (worth the upcharge IMO) and the "green drink" while my hubby prefers the chorizo Benedict and a red beer. The music is usually good, as is the service. The menu offers a wide variety of entrees made with fresh ingredients. I have to avoid gluten and wish they had a bread substitute available so I could have their Olallieberry French toast (I avoid the Benedict's English muffin). The employees appear to be happy here, which is refreshing. Fun mimosa flavors, a coffee bar, and fresh-squeezed juice options available. It was $70 for the both of us (including tip), but like I said - it's a treat and we want to support this awesome business! ☕ ?”
“Had the pleasure of meeting the owner today! She brought me the best Tiramisu as a treat! Definitely going to drop in there soon to try more delicious looking items.”

“They have expanded the menu since the last time I was here. I love new options. I had the tagliatelle bolognese which was excellent. Cocktails are always excellent. Staff and service were perfect.”
“My wife and myself just stopped by for a rainy day visit. What an excellent hidden gem! Awesome wine! I like how there is wine there I've never heard of before. The owner and woman working there were really nice and very informative. We really enjoyed talking to them and look forward to our next visit.”

“This place is ridiculously good. By far the best breakfast burritos in town. This is a new location and it's a little hard to find at first but it's insane that there are not more people in here. It's the best.”
“I tried the tacos. $3 each. Good price. Garnished with radish and carrot and some type of cooked pepper. came with the standard cilantro onion and hot sauce. The only thing striking me as odd, i asked about Asada and the guy said beef? sure we have meat from the cows head and neck, also tongue. I assumed chopped up steak? ok. I survived it! 4 tacos and a bottle of water. Cheers!”
“Went in for the 1st time on a stormy Saturday. Restaurant was mostly empty. Ordered the cheeseburger they had on special and it was delicious. 1/2 lb Patty, thousand island style sauce was great I went with everything but the onions. Service was prompt and friendly. Price for burger and a very generous amount of homemade fries was about $15. Well worth the visit. I will return and try out the Brats. ? Definitely a sports bar vibe with multiple TV's. Might be a good place to watch the 49ers whip the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII?”

“This was a very popular establishment when we visited. I enjoyed my taco plate and chips with complimentary salad bar with friends to satisfaction. However, my most memorable piece of that experience was the nostalgia of the wood paned walls of our communities tiny boardwalk.”
“Had the pleasure of meeting the owner today! She brought me the best Tiramisu as a treat! Definitely going to drop in there soon to try more delicious looking items.”
“The staff is amazing, almost all of the negative reviews come from self-entitled old people that honestly shouldn't be allowed in public. The type that get all butt hurt over masks during the pandemic or when they don't get served immediately.I highly recommend their baguettes, chocolate croissants, and hot chocolate:)Kid-friendliness: The staff are super friendly and understanding.”
“Jamba juice still rocks in Grass Valley! I love all the healthy choices they have to offer! I had a Wheatgrass shot with an orange wedge....gives me a burst of energy! They slso have some prepared items to go with your drink. Gift cards available. CHLOE the manager was friendly and helpful. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great experience!”
“Just had a fantastic dinner. Tofanellis is always our go to place for brunch, but tonight we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Great cocktails. Took a while to choose our entree from the delectable menu, and it was all delicious. Five star service, menu, and ambience.”

“Live Music & Wine on a weeknight. Very friendly atmosphere, everyone was warm and welcoming. The layout of the location doesn't allow for much more than a smallish attendance but the outdoor seating was a huge plus!!! Very good vibe, fantastic music! Next time I will bring my dog and sit outside!!Wheelchair accessibility: There is room for wheel chairs to enter, order, hangout, and stay.”
“Linda and her staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and delightful at a party hosted in their tasting room for me. The venue was perfect for visiting with about 30 people. Thank you so very much!”
Outdoor Dining
“Delicious!!!!! We drive 1.5 hours and stock up. They freeze well. Best to order ahead and reserve what you want because they can sell out fast. Our favorites are the pulled pork and the pot roast but all are great.”
“100% gluten free, which I don’t require, but is a cool offering! I had their chai latte with organic milk- it wasn’t too sweet which is great because I’m very picky with my chai. The girls behind the counter are cold which is why this is not 5 stars.”
“This eatery is more than a bakery. We found it on yelp today and tried it for the first time. We ordered the chicken enchalada and fish taco meals. Both were very delicious and serving size was huge. I wanted to keep eating even when my belly was full! It comes with a basket of crispy tortilla chips, 1 red and 1 green sauce, a salad, Mexican rice, refried beans that stayed nice and hot in a perfect way thru the meal. The place is so cute, very clean and welcoming. Service is great and friendly. I wish we had discovered Cafe Rico sooner. It is now our new go-to for a wonderful and delicious Mexican meal. We highly recommend it. You will leave well fed and happy, happy!”

“Our espresso shots and special mocha were delicious and the atmosphere was very comfortable and cozy. We will definitely visit again when we're back in the area!”
“Absolutely wonderful. We had the lobster dip and calamari for appetizers, and the Ribeye, Lobster Ravioli, and Lobster and Bay Shrimp Fettuccini for our main coarse. Every single dish was fantastic. Service was excellent as well. Can't say enough good things about Cirino's. 5 star experience all the way.”

“Definitely the best sandwich and BBQ spot in all of nevada county and beyond.Super fast service, quality ingredients, staff is super friendly and love their jobs. 100% would recommend to anyone. Try it for yourself!”
“Easy parking, well lit outside, good atmosphere, spacious seating, staff was friendly and fast. The meal itself was great. Came to the table hot and smelled delicious. I can't wait to go back and get something new.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.”
“Do not bother with other falafel joints , this is the real Mediterranean falafel pita, the only ones like this gem are located in LA and the San Fernando valley, worth the drive.”
“Cute and cozy little coffee cafe, friendly staff, and an assortment of baked goods + yummy looking breakfast burritos etc.I do wish places had more of a selection for those of who can’t eat eggs, dairy, wheat. But they’re happy to do their best to accommodate upon ordering. When I try coffee houses I like to see how my Oat milk Cortado will taste first. I have to say major thumbs up with smooth coffee. After being in Portland, OR for the last decade I’m sooo thrilled to find a place in GV that knows a good roast!I’ll be back to try a list of items and let ya’ll know. ?☕️”
“The best fish and chips we eat! We've come from San Jose to a lake house on a regular basis, and this is our favorite spot. Get the clam strips, the prawns, and the garlic fries!”
“Linda and her staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and delightful at a party hosted in their tasting room for me. The venue was perfect for visiting with about 30 people. Thank you so very much!”
“Good Italian food with lots of pasta options and vegetarian plates. Tomato soup was good but not great. Ravioli was delicious. The incessant roar of tenors singing Italian opera quickly grew tiresome. I would have liked more mellow music.”
“Had a fabulous dinner and dessert. We had the shrimp cakes, Chicken sandwich, fish and chips and the amaretto bread pudding, all wonderful! Great atmosphere, sweet staff, very welcoming. Loved they had some table games to play while we waited. Food was fabulous! Great date night ?”

“This place was great! Overall a real good dining experience, I personally went alone and was still paid attention to by staff (something that isnt normal in most places when I'm alone)The only complaint I have is about the price but honestly. When your pizza and fries are this good, it's worth it.”

“Delicious food with a pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff. The restaurant is in a convenient/accessible location and has reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this place, they deserve the business.”
“This is the best place I’ve eaten Mexican food in Northern California, there food and service is incredible, I can’t even believe someone getting less the 5star review, I’ve eaten here for ”
“We love to go because the food is always the same and great for big groups! Has GF options and so nice to kids. Love the hot and sour soup!Dietary restrictions: GF options”
“What a great experience! The bartender at the Iron Door was so helpful and recommended the best drinks for my friends and I, and the underground speakeasy atmosphere was so cool. I highly recommend checking this place out!!”
“Great buffet for the price! See new menu prices. Went with my friend today ..feb 3rd for lunch. See receipt. Best was the shrimp and the pepper chicken. Love that you can try just alittle bit of everything! 4 soups to choose from. Enjoyed the suishi as well. They also have senior discounts for the buffet. Very clean and well stocked. COME WITH AN APPETITE! Phillip was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely will be back!”
“Weird. The atmosphere is like you’re eating in someone’s outdated converted entry way. The staff are nice but something is just off. If you’re going to eat here definitely order take out and pick up at the back door. Food is mediocre at best. Standard ingredients from smart and final but edible nonetheless.”
“I haven't been here in a couple of years.. but my boyfriend and his brother came here about a week ago. Beer selection is good. Friendly staff. I really enjoyed the fried pickels and the Dirty Bird (which is a chicken sandwich). They have had live entertainment in the summer time and also a corn hole game outside.”

“The Chana Masala chickpea dish is so delicious and ample serving. Waiter was very helpful. Love this attractive and comfortable restaurant, with huge parking lot.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Good pasties, but you gotta have them heat it up in the oven until they get all nice and hot and crispy. Then you will have a proper hot handheld meal encased in the baked dough, containing the gravy and meat and veg, all for the taking. You are the king of your lunch. Do not accept the microwaved crust.Kid-friendliness: Challenge your kid to eat 2 full pasties. If they can do that, they're probably not a kid after all.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes!”
“Best early morning breakfast spot...and opens the earliest too. Great food and serviceVegetarian options: French fries, salads,Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room to get a wheelchair in”
“I first became acquainted with this business before she had a storefront. I believe I found her through Facebook. She made custom cupcakes for my daughter's birthday. I was excited to see her new store and try more of her baking. My daughter and I popped in and each got cupcakes and we also picked up cookies for the boys (hub and son). The cupcakes were fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and fast. I can't wait to try more goodies soon!”

“I enjoy coming here. I come for the cookies, pies, donuts, pastries, muffins, and other treats (and the friendly faces behind the counter are great, too!). I also hear the cakes and dinner rolls are phenomenal (I can't wait to try them). We have always been satisfied when it comes to Gristmill sweets! My experience with their lunches isn't as exciting. I ordered lunch (to-go) several times, and all three experiences needed to be corrected. The first time I placed a (to-go) order, they forgot to include our chicken quesadilla - when we went back to pick it up, they missed the chicken in the quesadilla (we weren't going back a third time!). The second time I placed a (to-go) lunch order, they missed the request for no mustard in my BLT (insert sad face here). The last order placed was the $12.95 "More than a House Salad," which you would hope is not dull and bland. My salads need crunch and flavor, especially when indicated, "More than." I'll return for the Bakery! Not sure about the Deli?”
“We came in today to treat the kids after flu shots. They were STOKED and Sabrina was super helpful. She chatted with the kids, looked suitably amazed at all their ridiculous 4 year old wisdom, told them stories, and was generally great. The store was clean and the toppings were fresh, not stale. She was holding the place down by herself, even though it seemed fairly busy for a Monday night. (PS my go to combo is Tart yogurt with Fruity Pebbles and sometimes blackberries if I’m feeling fancy)”

“I've learned that it's best to use the drive-thru to get your order in a timely manner. The staff is always polite and positive at the drive-thru window and drinks/food come out quickly. For some reason, inside has a different vibe - not as friendly and orders take a very long time to come out.”
“Ordered pizza through Doordash today. March 3. See receipt on box.I ordered the medium Supreme pizza with pepperoni..mushrooms..sausage and a little bit of veggies on top. The pizza was satisfactory but nothing special. With tip and delivery it was under 20 dollars. Not bad because other more established pizza places would have cost almost double! So basically you get what you pay for. It was a cold and snowy day so it was perfect to have it delivered! One slice was enough for me!”
“The Chana Masala chickpea dish is so delicious and ample serving. Waiter was very helpful. Love this attractive and comfortable restaurant, with huge parking lot.”
“Great spot often overlooked. We had no wait though it was fairly crowded. My chilquiles were fabulous, and my sweetie's biscuits & gravy were too big for him to finish. I had two bloody marys and they were good & spicy, served with a delicious piece of crispy bacon and sweet pickle slices - good to the last drop! Great little place for breakfast & lunch.”
“Brussels Sprouts - Yum but a tad too vinegar for some of our palletsElote Salad - Great, would get again.Fried Mahi - Favorite of the four tacos we got. We also had Shrimp, Steak and Cauliflower. Cauliflower was bland.Blue Cheese Burger - YumTruffle Fries - YumService, standard.Would go back and recommend to others.”
“Best veggie quiche you ever had! And yummy baked goods & delicious coffees. Wonderful staff. Art on the walls. It’s an all around great vibe & experience.”
“It's where I sneak off for a hot cuppa when not at work. I like the mine blaster BLACK. You know a good coffee stop when you can enjoy their java black. There isn't any food- the stars are for the coffee.”

“These guys have the best gluten free pizza in Grass Valley. The garlic chicken bacon artichoke pizza pairs well with the mediterranean salad. It is nice to take it home to bake, eat it hot out of the oven with a side salad and a glass of wine.”
“For some reason I always forget about this place. I think they’re a huge step up from the other drive thru taco fast food restaurant in town. I love their ground beef tacos with Parmesan and tried their taquitos which were delicious! Their mild green salsa is awesome, too!”
“They have remodeled the inside? Nice I've lived in this area since 1980's looks good. The rootbeer in the mugs are so refreshing. Keep the old school ways.. LOVE IT.. Nothing better then home town favorites.”
“I tried the new Bacon Guacamole 1/3 pound burger. It was really really good. Very good customer service, very good food and I'm grateful for all the hard work!Parking: Not very big lot but I've never had an issue finding parking!Kid-friendliness: Yes!”
“It's burger King, food ain't great except for the sweets, Chiken fries, or mozzarella sticks, but my grandparents love it, also the staff is wonderful and they gave me some extra chicken fries (probably on accident)”
“Lots of people on a cold rainy day. I was greeted with a "Hi how can we help you today?". Took my order accurately, friendly, got food in about 5 min even though very busy. Food was perfect.”
“A&W/KFC has vastly improved in the last year. I've left several reviews for the KFC but felt the need to post here too. I've come by several times in the last two months, and they are getting my order right each time. The one time they missed putting corndog nuggets in with my chicken family meal, they made it right and got my corn dogs before I left. The customer service has gone from horrible to excellent. No long waits, even when I have to pull into a parking space. The employees seem happy and are courteous and kind. I'm so happy we can eat here with confidence again. It's KFC, not world class dining. You get consistency. Don't complain about the food unless there's something actually wrong with it. It's good food for fast food. And on the cheaper side to feed myself and 3 adult males.”
“Fast and friendly staff . But they always forget to give me my apple slices ?Kid-friendliness: Has a really cool playground. Very good and fun place to being your kids while you enjoy a good meal.”
“Food and beer fantastic! The FORKS are currently undermining the delicious cuisine the kitchen is delivering.Holding them feels just as likely to cut my finger as deliver the noms to my mouth.Great spot! Obviously forks not even close to a dealbreaker, just a rounding out improvement towards 5 stars!”
“Seriously wonderful restaurant, I generally come here once a month, I would go more often if I could afford it. Compared to other sushi restaurants in the area they have a much more traditional style, which is to say they are often very light on the sauce and toppings. I highly recommend the salmon belly sashimi, it's absolutely delectable.Parking: Depending on the time of day/day of the week it can be difficult to find parking, downtown Grass Valley kind of just has that problem.”

“This place is so much fun. My gf and I pop in here at least once a week to have dinner. The people who own it are so nice and the food always hits the spot. I'm working my way through the menu to try everything. It really has a great small town, family owned vibe with tasty food.”

“If you’re looking for a dive bar, this is it! They have really great drink prices. I got a beer for two dollars. The staff is really nice. And the people are friendly.”
“I used to love kicking it here. The pool table was generally nice. Rudy was there sometimes. I had a blast.Parking: Have fun at the pub!Kid-friendliness: Nope.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes!”
“They make vegetarian fun. On the recommendation of a buddy, I finally stopped by to try this deli out. Lunch hour weekdays is a busy time here. Great to sit outside in the sun. I ordered the BBQ tempeh cheesesteak sandwich with potato salad. Delicious!! Loved the tasty but small serving of potato salad. Next time I will try the fries. This may become my go to place for lunch!!”
“Our family lives out of town and we were advised to use Port of Subs in Grass Valley to cater a family member's memorial. Dee met with my sister and I to plan out the menu and she was so helpful and made it very easy for us in a very difficult time. The day of the memorial we had nothing to worry about. Everything was there on time, was fresh and delicious. Thank you Dee and Port of Subs for your excellent work.”
“Just as expected, the food was good and the service was outstanding. The wait staff were quick to seat us and take our orders, friendly and professional. A nice, quiet spot for breakfast or "brinner" when you're in Grass Valley.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available up to 12 years old”
“I'm not one to go to a coffee spot for my coffee. I am now in love and hooked! I was only visiting the area but, am excited as there is one opening in my area.”
“The sourdough sandwiches are always so good! They are prepared quickly.I got the Pesto Turkey. After I received my sandwich, I couldn't taste the pesto, so I asked for more. They said it was mixed into the mayo, however, they accommodated and gave me a little container. So close to Mill Street where a lot of the shops and movie theater is.”
“This Starbucks is conveniently located inside the Safeway. That means if you have the Safeway fresh pass, they give you one $2 grande starbucks drink per month and you know I cash it in every month! The service has been conveniently friendly and drinks are great every time. Sometimes seems a bit short staffed, but all around I've had a good experience every time thus far.”
“Great place for very fast and quite tasty Mexican food. the place is clean and the staff are friendly and hardworking.Their complimentary FRESH tortilla chips and salsa bar rocks. Lots of deliciousness, for not a lot of money.”

“Standard taqeria with the usual menu items. I tried super burrito asada to go and was not really impressed. My friend kept urging me to go back and try it again. This time i ordered the same asada super burrito but for dine in so it came on a plate. I went to the condiment bar while waiting for my food to get the chips and salsa. There was much more stuff. I sothered my burrito with grilled onions and guacamole sauce, garnished it with jalapenos and radishes, then topped it off with pico de gallo. Yum!”
“This Papa Murphys is in Grass Valley ( in the same shopping center as Big 5 and Target). Its super clean inside! Love that they always have specials!Use the app to save money. They also have premade food ( see photo) and sodas. Quick and convenient! I like to order these during game time and add my own stuff before cooking!”

“I am a born and raised native to Nevada County and I’m sad to say that it wasn’t until I was an adult that I finally had the chance to try Tuscany Gardens. If I’m being honest, I never knew they existed. It’s now one of my go to restaurants that I frequent. They have the most delicious dishes. My favorites are the pesto chicken grilled sandwich, the sun-dried tomato pesto chicken sandwich, love love love their breadsticks! I could almost eat just those as my meal they are so delicious and always fresh out of the oven. Another favorite of mine is their mushroom soup! It is so flavorful and if I know they have it I’ll make a special trip just for that?.Roxy is the owner/manager and has the best energy. She’s always smiling and making friendly conversation.I also love that they have salads to grab. This is huge for me because I eat my lunch in my car on the go and need something quick/healthy/filling.Definitely recommend giving them a try if you have not yet!”
“Delicious food with a pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff. The restaurant is in a convenient/accessible location and has reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this place, they deserve the business.”
“Amazing food and service! Wyatt is a busser but essentially acted as Rafael’s assistant - 2X the service and it made all the difference. Thanks for the great Christmas Eve dinner. Everything was sublime.”

“Passing through Grass Valley, wanted a burger. BnC was recommended by a friend there, and gotta say it hit the spot. You get what you pay for and the Guido was worth every penny. Thanks for dinner peeps.”
“The Owner is so friendly & SO SWEET, it was such a treat going in here. I can come here every single day. Food is delicious & coffee & danishes are to die for!!”
“Excellent service & very happy with American diner food for good price during Early Bird special time. Turkey & veggies were good & food plentiful. One giant piece of chocolate cake gave 4 servings & was delicious. Pudding needs an assist, more traditional & more flavor, suggest Dutch Chocolate or richer deep chocolate flavor & Tapioca didn't taste like the Tapioca we grew up with, however pudding comes with dinner, so that's nice.”
“Fast and friendly staff . But they always forget to give me my apple slices ?Kid-friendliness: Has a really cool playground. Very good and fun place to being your kids while you enjoy a good meal.”
“Great place for very fast and quite tasty Mexican food. the place is clean and the staff are friendly and hardworking.Their complimentary FRESH tortilla chips and salsa bar rocks. Lots of deliciousness, for not a lot of money.”
“The young man working was really kind. Unlike a majority of subway employees across the board....His good attitude will get him far. And the sandwiches of course were good.”
“We love to go because the food is always the same and great for big groups! Has GF options and so nice to kids. Love the hot and sour soup!Dietary restrictions: GF options”
“Excellent pizza with exceptional crust. Very accommodating and friendly staff in a low-key pizza-pub setting. The Caesar salad is good, too! Thanks for your attention to the details on the yummy gluten-free pizza crust with non-dairy toppings. Yummy.Dietary restrictions: Check out the gluten-free pizza.”
“Shelby was absolutely 100% awesome! She alone made mine and my husband's day. She needs a raise!Parking: The parking is great and you don't have to walk that far to go in or come out. And there's plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: It's wheelchair accessible.”
“My wife and myself just stopped by for a rainy day visit. What an excellent hidden gem! Awesome wine! I like how there is wine there I've never heard of before. The owner and woman working there were really nice and very informative. We really enjoyed talking to them and look forward to our next visit.”
