“Tonight we had the most wonderful meal at La Gastronomia here in Grass Valley. Not only is the deli filled with Italian treats, cheeses,, breads, homemade pastas and Italian meats, but this delightful establishment serves the most authentic and delicious Italian dishes. Tonight we tried Spaghetti with Amatriciana sauce (look it up - its fantastic) and Fettucine Puttensca (with capers and olives). We also shared a delicious Bresaola salad of arugula, cured bresaola meat with Grana Padano parmesan with lemon oil! We've found our new favorite place to eat and can't wait to try their phenomenal pizzas. A meal in themselves! It was so good, we ordered Cannolis and an EXTRA helping of Spaghetti with Amatriciana Guanciale, pecorino cheese and tomatoe! Plus, its very clean, Covid friendly. masks, outdoor seating or to go orders. An authentic jewell in Grass Valley!! Sorry, no picture of our food. We ate too fast!!”

“We attended a fund raiser at Wild Eye Pub recently. Great venue for 50+ guests, and good service. The garlic fries were just that: garlicky! My only disappointment was the teriyaki chicken bowl. Although there was a nice sliced chicken breast on top of the rice, their "veggies" consisted of 80% grilled onions, 10% carrots, and 10% red bell peppers. Step it up, Wild Eye, you can do better!”

“We just moved to the area about a year and a half ago from the LA area (Nor cal transplant returning). I have had lots of Mexican food. I have also been to many parts of Mexico. I know what I like and I really like this place. Funny enough the first time we came in we waited 45 minutes for our food. But it was Valentine’s Day and it was kind of busy. They brought our check and I said but we have not received our meal. The server looked horrified and got it to us as soon as possible. Normally this would prompt a bad review and a never to return. But the food was so good and staff so friendly we eat there 1 to 2 times a month. Not enough to be considered regulars but it is a lot for us to frequent a place that often. I would highly recommend this place to anyone”

“Veggie pasties from Marshall's Pasties are my favorite nostalgic food to get whenever I'm back in Grass Valley! Having lived above Marshall's Pasties (2005 through 2008ish) you would think I would have gotten to the point where I had eaten enough veggie pasties to last a lifetime, but I'm nowhere close to being sick of them. Whenever I'm in the area, I make sure to get a bunch to keep in the freezer, but they always go fast! They are very flavorful -- flakey crust that is the perfect level of softness, and filling that is to die for. Don't leave off the malt vinegar! Plus pasties are like soup you can hold!”

The food quality here and restaurant ambience is perfect. who would ever have thought that up here in gold country that is 150 years old or more tou cokld find perfect Thai food? The bad.....I find it overpriced for the area. I paid 15 dollars what I thought was worth 11. But just to be fair..min this area I dont think there is much better. now if these people were drove an hour to Sacramento, then there would be better choices. so...in the end..its a fair deal. The owner and wait staff are s UK per friendly and the food is good. I am bog so I want bigger so I want bigger portions. No complaints. if you are in this area...then this place is awesome.”

“I took my mom here for breakfast, she lives out of state. One of her favorite breakfast items is Chicken Friend Steak with sausage gravy. She said this place was one of her top 3 favorites!
I ordered the same thing, the chicken fried steak was perfectly done, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The gravy was delicious and their biscuit was also perfectly cooked, buttery and crispy on the outside and a nice soft fluffy inside. I will definitely be back to try more breakfast items.”

When I lived there at that time, I bought a T-shirt from you with the name of the bar and a b/w sketch of a couple drinking champaigne while riding a horse at full speed. “Ordered pizza through Doordash today. March 3. See receipt on box.I ordered the medium Supreme pizza with pepperoni..mushrooms..sausage and a little bit of veggies on top. The pizza was satisfactory but nothing special. With tip and delivery it was under 20 dollars. Not bad because other more established pizza places would have cost almost double! So basically you get what you pay for. It was a cold and snowy day so it was perfect to have it delivered! One slice was enough for me!”

Pro shop and you can choose 9 or 18 holes (OPEN to the public!). They serve breakfast and lunch and weekend dinner specials. Both Jill (very sweet) and Jake were wonderful! We will be back again for a relaxing lunch with friends!”

I asked what vegan options they had and they suggested the wrap and accommodated me quite nicely. :-) I suggested that they carry hummus and some sort of dressing that was vegan for the future. I grabbed a few chicken dinners with veggies, some whipped topping and two personal pies. the chicken falls right off the bone, it's moist and full of flavor. there were fresh green beans, potatoes and squash with it. Delicious! My husband ate his apple pie without utensils. he said it was amazing. the pecan pie with a bite of the whipped topping was phenomenal, although neither needed the other to be amazing. so many wonderful things to get there in the shop. staff is so wonderfully kind. the store is clean and well organized. Exactly the place you want to go to. I will return, many times.”
