Can't pass Grass Valley without a stop at Cake! Baguette a must, 1 now, 1 for later. Have had amazing sandwiches and cookies. Last week I bought an incredible lemon cake with toasted meringue!! Love the atmosphere, staff and kudos to the owner who upholds a safe environment for all! See you soon!
This is one of my favorite places to come and enjoy my full experience of what this place has to offer. If I could give Christine and her staff 10 stars for their attention to detail, quality food and experience I would. I adore this place!!!
I recently received a Cream Puff Swan for my birthday. it ranks as one of the top desserts I have ever eaten in my life! I enjoyed every bite! Five stars!

Cake Bakery & Café is a magical place with world class food, euro ambiance, and great pricing in a small town. The pastries are French quality, and the sandwiches and soup are so satisfying. The chocolate decadence is dense, dark, not overly sweet, and the orange tea cake is light, tart, and full of flavor—both served with cream and a berry coulis. The Rat Pack sandwich is delicious, with a seasonal soup always available. The cakes and cookies are exquisite. The first impression is of an old historical building, but inside is a charming bakery with appetizing baked goods. The owner is passionate and creates a fun, productive atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It is a lovely, cozy atmosphere with delightful decor, making it the best bakery in downtown Grass Valley.
