Cute bakery in the heart of Grass Valley!! Great stop for any time of the day. We came here right at closing, after dinner for a sweet treat and mocha. Lots of choices and always something different. Fun to sit outside and enjoy the closed off street activities. Always a great time!! ??

What a gorgeous place! The owner and staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome, and the food was fantastic. Our lunch was perfect and the desserts were impressive. A lovely spot, we will be back with friends for sure.Vegetarian options: Vegan options were available.

This bakery is gorgeous. The cakes are stunning, and the food is a little spendy but really good. We get our family birthday cakes here every year, and they make our wedding cake-I wish I had photos, they were works of art! The place is really well decorated and the customer service is fantastic-they’ve gone out of their way more than once to cater to our specific needs. Please spend all of your money here so they never, ever close!Parking: It’s on Mill St in the old bank building, so hopefully you can get a spot in the parking lot directly below or above, but if you get a fancy cake, there’s no pulling up to the curb-you must hike it back precariously

Dude it kills me to write a negative review and I really like this business overall. But I spent $90 on an 8inch bday cake that none of the guests wanted to eat more than a bite of. It was the buttercream. They told me to leave it out of the fridge for an hour before serving, which I did, but truly that icing is not edible.

The staff is amazing, almost all of the negative reviews come from self-entitled old people that honestly shouldn't be allowed in public. The type that get all butt hurt over masks during the pandemic or when they don't get served immediately.I highly recommend their baguettes, chocolate croissants, and hot chocolate:)Kid-friendliness: The staff are super friendly and understanding.

Rude front counter pink haired, nose bridge pierced woman. Confronted me for walking to the counter from the wrong direction when I was the only person in there. The food looks good here but this has been the second time I’ve been treated rudely here. I’m a white male and I’m starting to think my skin color sets these people off? This business was one of the few that were super strict to the point of confrontational during the Rona. I won’t be back.

We had just entered the café and were deciding whether to order when a woman who we presume to be the owner approached us and greeted us warmly. She welcomed us and explained a bit about the building and the café’s offerings, saying the baguettes are made fresh daily by a French pastry chef. She was so kind both then and while taking our orders. Shortly afterward, she came over to our table and gave us a free baguette and some butter to go with it. We felt very welcomed. Great service and great coffee, and the baguette was incredible!

My daughter and I visited your Cafe and everything was lovely except the "apple turnovers". I've had them over the years with lots of apple slices in a true pastry jacket. However, yours were disappointing because they were extremely light and had no apple filling. The inside was hollow with a little apple flavoring on the bottom of the crust. I suggest you change the name to something else or the recipe. Your staff, however, was the best!!

They have a sign, line forms here. There was two people apparently having a slow conversation about what to order. Not moving. The cashier was standing at the end of the counter doing nothing. I wanted simply to buy a baguette which was immediately next to her.She refused to sell me the baguette and told me to go back stand in line behind the two persons who were still chatting and discussing their order with the other salesperson. Still while the cashier was doing zero, doing a second person came in, and she refused to sell him the single pastry from the case, immediately next to her.Ultimately I got my baguette, several minutes later than was needed.I would describe my treatment as Rude or dysfunctional.I will not return. Everything overpriced might be tolerable but horrid service is not.

I visited for the first time today. I am not one to usually write negative reviews. I ordered a chai and as I was ordering the staff were busy arguing. I almost cancelled my order then but my daughter was already excited for her cookie. I then waiting over 10 minutes for my chai. The entire time I was in there the staff were yelling at each other making the entire atmosphere uncomfortable. I finally got my chai and went outside. I was outside and one of the workers walked out yelled at a customer that had been in front of me in line then practically ran my daughter over while cussing up a storm and making a scene. I will not be back. Hopefully it was an off day for everyone but I was shocked by the unprofessional behavior in a pretty busy establishment.

This place is the jewel of coffee shops in the Foothills! This is a must go and the owner is a hoot! The coffee is wonderful! The variety of baked goods are incredible!

Adorable ambiance! Pretty pricey though. $22 for a coffee & a wedge of quiche. The staff are lovely people but I could come maybe once a month due to the high prices.
