“At our recent annual girls trip to Grass Valley's Cornish Christmas we enjoyed some dinner at Cirino's. Recommend reservations if you have 2 or more people, the bar seating is limited and usually full as I've noticed the last couple of trips up to GV. Early or late evening is not as busy. The waitress was very nice & we enjoyed the great booths which were semi-private. It's pretty loud but you don't really notice because everyone is in a good mood at Christmas time. On previous visits it's usually our go-to place for dinner or before/after drinks.“
“Absolutely wonderful. We had the lobster dip and calamari for appetizers, and the Ribeye, Lobster Ravioli, and Lobster and Bay Shrimp Fettuccini for our main coarse. Every single dish was fantastic. Service was excellent as well. Can't say enough good things about Cirino's. 5 star experience all the way.“
“Just had a fantastic dinner. Tofanellis is always our go to place for brunch, but tonight we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Great cocktails. Took a while to choose our entree from the delectable menu, and it was all delicious. Five star service, menu, and ambience.“
“My fiancé and I enjoyed a lovey dinner here. Bread is brought to you almost immediately after being seated. The large variety of gluten free options was amazing! A VERY traditional alfredo sauce that is actually GF! No flour needed when you know what you’re doing. I ordered the Scaloppine Marsala and it was DIVINE. Chicken so tender it melts in your mouth, delicious polenta and fresh veg, yum yum yum. Also almost immediately upon receiving our food fresh parmesan and cracked pepper was offered. We also had the panna cotta, the employee who took our dessert order also brought over some raspberry sauce without even asking because it was her favorite way to eat the panna cotta and boy was she right! Overall, a wonderful dinner for a decent price given the quality and quantity!Dietary restrictions: Wonderful with gluten allergy and accommodation. My celiac fiancé had no upset stomach at all!“
“Personable, with attention to details... it is obvious Enrique loves creating wonderful foods to experience! Nice staff, great food, reasonable prices... this is an up and coming success story in downtown Grass Valley! Enrique even went out of his way to gift a sweet treat to our beautiful birthday girl! We'll be back often! Four stars because we want to challenge Enrique to even greater culinary endeavors! Best wishes for your continued success!“
“I am a born and raised native to Nevada County and I’m sad to say that it wasn’t until I was an adult that I finally had the chance to try Tuscany Gardens. If I’m being honest, I never knew they existed. It’s now one of my go to restaurants that I frequent. They have the most delicious dishes. My favorites are the pesto chicken grilled sandwich, the sun-dried tomato pesto chicken sandwich, love love love their breadsticks! I could almost eat just those as my meal they are so delicious and always fresh out of the oven. Another favorite of mine is their mushroom soup! It is so flavorful and if I know they have it I’ll make a special trip just for that?.Roxy is the owner/manager and has the best energy. She’s always smiling and making friendly conversation.I also love that they have salads to grab. This is huge for me because I eat my lunch in my car on the go and need something quick/healthy/filling.Definitely recommend giving them a try if you have not yet!“
“To be fair, it does call itself a caffè, so maybe 3 stars for the atmosphere isn't enough. Very good food, nice presentation, generous portions and friendly wait staff. The chocolate mousse dessert is large enough to be shared. We plan to visit again.“
“This is our annual go to spot during Christmas season on our way back from cutting down our Christmas tree in the forest. The staff are very nice. There is plenty of parking out front. Plenty of seating for small or large groups. Games for the kids, beer for the adults. The all you can eat salad bar has many options and is so good! I always order the all you can eat, but never get seconds. ? I would recommend the single serving. Although, if you’re unsure, it’s only a $2 difference. I’ve had the breadsticks, which I prefer over the garlic bread but both are delicious. The pizza is very good, also. We choose carnivore, vegetarian, and lactose intolerant options. The atmosphere is family friendly. Delicious!“
“OMG...I wish I could remember the young Man's name that worked the bar the day we were there for our Nephew's birthday party. He was wonderful. The whole staff was outstanding and the food was delightful!! If you are near Penn Valley please try this place . You won't regret it!!!“
“Hidden local gem for authentic Italian food. I ordered the pesto fettucine (I added meatballs), my guy had the lasagna, and we also got the Americana pizza. All three dishes were just delicious and so fresh. We were very happy. The owner and chef told us that she now has sole ownership and is looking forward to switching/enhancing menu with her ideas. There were only a few other diners when we ate there, so service was excellent and fast, but I’ve heard that it can get very busy with longer wait times - still worth trying if you haven’t. I know I’ll be back.“
