“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pizza Plus in Placerville, CA, and I must say it was an absolute delight for my taste buds and my sense of community. This hidden gem has quickly become my go-to spot for a pizza experience that goes beyond the ordinary.Let's start with the crust – thick, golden, and utterly delicious! Pizza Plus has mastered the art of creating the perfect crust, providing a satisfying crunch on the outside while maintaining a soft and chewy interior. It's the kind of crust that makes each bite a heavenly experience. The white sauce deserves its own applause. Creamy, flavorful, and with just the right hint of garlic, it adds a unique touch to every pizza. It's evident that the chefs at Pizza Plus take pride in their craft, ensuring that each ingredient complements the others perfectly. One aspect that sets Pizza Plus apart is its commitment to the local community. The prices are not only reasonable but contribute to a greater cause. This establishment actively supports and raises donations for various local community events, making every purchase feel like a small act of kindness towards the place we call home.During my visit, I indulged in the Veggie Pizza, and it was a true celebration of freshness. Every topping, from the crisp bell peppers to the succulent mushrooms, tasted as if they were picked straight from the garden. It's evident that Pizza Plus values quality ingredients and takes the extra step to ensure that each pizza is a masterpiece.Beyond the delectable food and community support, the friendly and welcoming atmosphere makes Pizza Plus a true local treasure. The staff radiates warmth, creating an environment that encourages patrons to feel like part of the Pizza Plus family. In conclusion, if you're looking for a pizza experience that goes beyond the ordinary, Pizza Plus in Placerville is the place to be. Whether you're a fan of the thick crust, the mouthwatering white sauce, or the commitment to community involvement, Pizza Plus has something for everyone. I wholeheartedly recommend this amazing local small business – come and support them for a slice of heaven and a taste of community!“
“We have made the trek from Sacramento to The Place a couple times now to meet with friends. It has been a great experience each time! The food is always yummy and there are SO many menu items to choose from. Most recently I ordered the mushroom risotto and had SO much leftover to enjoy at home. I also love the selection of local beers they have on tap. If you can on a nice day, I'd suggest sitting on the patio and enjoying the fresh air.“
“I have never eaten such a delicious pizza. The dough is thin, evenly baked with a crispy crust. I know people who do not eat "bortyki", but here they are so tender and crispy that not eating such a delicacy is a sin.Our family now has a favorite pizzeria in Placerville. There are two pieces left from the large family pizza, but we are taking them home, it is very tasty!“
“I chose the Linguini with Clams, Flavorful perfection. I will return, next time -- a partner to share, a glass (or two) of wine, a beautiful salad and star of the show, tasty delight! Garlic was mellow, oil/butter soft and experience, excellent.“
“OMG!! I think this is the best pizza I've ever had. Definitely the best crust I've ever had. Veggies were fresh and crisp, chicken was moist and well-seasoned. Oh and did I mention the crust? It's not just your average pizza. You have to try this place!“
“I can not state which pizza is the best due to the fact that everyone has their own preference. The Greenwood Lake Pizza is one of my favorites. I also enjoy the veggie pizzas. The option to add or remove toppings from any pizza is great. There is also a lunch special available of a slice and soda (the slices are pleasing, lol). This establishment also makes dessert style pizzas, which are tasty. Not only is the environment clean, but the employees are friendly/ polite. The Local Take and Bake can be seen as a bit pricey, but worth it. If you are looking for quality ingredients and want something different in the world of pizza, I suggest The Local Take & Bake. Another great thing is that they accept EBT payment for take and bake only.As far as both locations being wheelchair, mobility impaired (ADA compliant), it is accessible, but the doors are manual open only, which can be an obstacle. The Cool, CA. Location has a low counter, which makes it easy to pay and receive your change and your order. The location in Garden Valley, CA, has a high countertop at which to pay and receive, but I would like to say that if you were wheelchair bound, the employees/owner would be helpful, even when it comes to getting the door for you.“
“As a dual citizen of Italy and America it is so hard to find food places that feel like home and aren’t “Italian American” where it’s nothing but pizza and spaghetti. This food was AMAZING! I can’t wait for my momma to come visit so I can take her here! 10/10 will recommend to anyone! The portions are perfect, I left feeling so full and had to get my cannoli to go.“
