We had heard lots of good things about The Little Italian Place. Actually had their pizza at the connected bar, Rudy's, on a different weekend when we were out listening to live music. We decided to have dinner there for my birthday on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024. We made a reservation for 6 pm and showed up at 5:50 pm at which time we were immediately seated. We finally tried this place. It was ok. They were out of pizza and several other things on menu. Service was alright. Our waitress was nice and attentive but it was long waiting to take our order and get our food. Place was only 1/2 full, so not too busy on a Saturday evening as well few weeks ago. Cute Italian place inside. The food- My dish had flavor but the chicken was tough and overcooked and the gluten free pasta wasn't fully cooked, not soft at all. We have made the trek from Sacramento to The Place a couple times now to meet with friends. It has been a great experience each time! The food is always yummy and there are SO many menu items to choose from. Most recently I ordered the mushroom risotto and had SO much leftover to enjoy at home. I also love the selection of local beers they have on tap. If you can on a nice day, I'd suggest sitting on the patio and enjoying the fresh air.
