Unbelievable food! I am so excited to have discovered this foothill gem on a whim. The Place is a little out of the way, but WELL worth the trip. It wouldn't be a stretch to say this is the best food in El Dorado County. The cuisine is Italian fusion rather than straight Italian, but it works incredibly well! Make sure you start with the Piemontese Bagna Cauda (AKA "Hot Bath"). It's the best flat bread you'll ever have, without hyperbole: crispy outside, wonderfully doughy inside....read full review

The Place is a delicious Italian place with wonderful pizza, including the green monsta, described as THE BEST pesto chicken pizza. The dishes are pricey but worth it for a special treat. The spaghetti and meatball, kids chicken nuggets, and chicken Parmesan all had great taste, with customers cleaning their plates. The tiramisu desert is also recommended. Customers enjoy watching Neon Pickle while dining, noting a great atmosphere and fun experience. The restaurant offers a nice chill spot for lunch or dinner, with sandwiches available during the week. Customers order via QR code on the table, which is smooth sailing once understood. Staff are friendly, though one instance of a worker on his phone felt a little unprofessional. For pasta with bacon, customers should ask for it fresh, as it is made before hand and affects quality. Overall, it is a good place to eat, with live music starting at times.
