“This is the best place to hear music. The sound system is incredible. There is no bad seat in the house. Plan ahead & pay the very minimal seating charge to sit at the tables to watch the show. You can also sit in the bar, but it's not the same experience and sound. Still very fun & the drinks are good.“

“We have made the trek from Sacramento to The Place a couple times now to meet with friends. It has been a great experience each time! The food is always yummy and there are SO many menu items to choose from. Most recently I ordered the mushroom risotto and had SO much leftover to enjoy at home. I also love the selection of local beers they have on tap. If you can on a nice day, I'd suggest sitting on the patio and enjoying the fresh air.“
“Absolutely amazing food. Every single thing we had was delicious. The beef Bourgogne stew was my favorite. The pre fixe was a great deal and the cod was cooked perfectly. The only complaint I have about the dessert is that it was too good and I want more. Best meal I've had in a long time and reasonably priced as well!“
“Amazing amazing service. Owners were out front and gave us a tour of their vineyards, letting us try their grapes and do a sampling of their zinfandel. They also have a special wine slushy with a tart and refreshing organic raspberry mix 10/10 would get again, it was delicious. We bought a bottle and sat outside on the patio they shared with the neighboring winery. It overlooked the vineyard and was just so gorgeous. Support their small business, you won't regret it. :) we'll be back next year when they have their Merlots ready to sell.“
“The food here is absolutely amazing!!!!! I had lemon thyme risotto with Scallops, my husband the Salmon. We had calamari for appetizer, and banana foster for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly. The scallops were so tender and fresh. The ambience was nice, and I thought the drink selection was great. They do have kids menus if you want to bring your kids. It's probably the best food we have had in a while. Service was spot on. I highly recommend going here. It is a gem in the middle of nowhere, lol.“
“This used to be the best restaurant in the area, but ever since Maria took over it is one of my favorite restaurants PERIOD. I used to love the burgers so was glad to see them stay on the menu and wasn’t interested in trying the Mexican food. But when I finally did I never looked back. Carnitas are my favorite and the rice and beans are maybe the best I’ve ever had. Also, everyone on staff is super nice. Love this place“
“f you're in Placerville on a Thursday through Sunday, you should definitely stop by The Wine Smith! They offer a great selection of wines and each glass is only $9! Scott is eager to find you a glass you like, and will let you sample before you make your choice. He also sells wine by the bottle if you fall in love with your choice. It's got local artists work displayed and music on a turn table. The Gregory Graham Chardonnay is fantastic!“
