“My wife and I went with another couple. The food and service were excellent. We got a pepperoni as well as a white sauce pizza. The white sauce pie was great. The atmosphere was different than most pizza spots I have been to. Not that it was ba, just different. It was very nice, maybe just fancier than I expected for a pizza spot. It's communal seating (where you sit at a long table, possibly close next to other people). I would definitely go back, though.“

“great for those nights where you don't feel like cooking but also don't feel like take out. they also accept EBT food stamps which makes it a money saver compared to other take out options. staff is always really friendly and prompt at answering the phones to place an order.“

“Soooooo......online orders close at 9:30pm (not marked anywhere) & the store closes at 10pm.

All this system is doing is making the jobs of the employees MORE DIFFICULT when customers walk in at 9:40pm asking for something that takes a whopping 7 minutes to make that they could've started working on at 9:32pm if the online system had just accepted the original order in the first place 🤦‍♀️ the worst thing was, IT WASN'T JUST ME, SOMEONE ELSE WALKED IN WANTING TO ORDER SAYING THE ONLINE SYSTEM WASN'T ACCEPTING ORDERS WHEN THEY TRIED TO ORDER TOO!

Please.....just make this easier on everyone. Have the order system close at 9:45pm. Make it make sense.“

“Tonight we had the most wonderful meal at La Gastronomia here in Grass Valley. Not only is the deli filled with Italian treats, cheeses,, breads, homemade pastas and Italian meats, but this delightful establishment serves the most authentic and delicious Italian dishes. Tonight we tried Spaghetti with Amatriciana sauce (look it up - its fantastic) and Fettucine Puttensca (with capers and olives). We also shared a delicious Bresaola salad of arugula, cured bresaola meat with Grana Padano parmesan with lemon oil! We've found our new favorite place to eat and can't wait to try their phenomenal pizzas. A meal in themselves! It was so good, we ordered Cannolis and an EXTRA helping of Spaghetti with Amatriciana Guanciale, pecorino cheese and tomatoe! Plus, its very clean, Covid friendly. masks, outdoor seating or to go orders. An authentic jewell in Grass Valley!! Sorry, no picture of our food. We ate too fast!!“

“I’ve lived in the area for 7 years and finally got around to trying Pete’s Pizza. I’m disappointed I haven’t tried it sooner…the food was excellent. We ordered a family size arugula salad which was quite fresh and plenty for 5 of us to share, along with 3 pizzas (Funguy, Conamara, and the Yuba). I’d argue it’s the best pizza in Grass Valley. The pizza is fresh, thin crust, and flavorful. Pete’s can be busy so assume your pizza will take a while, but kill some time with an appetizer and/or the salad while you wait. They also have a solid tap list and offer a tasting board!“

“There is now the option for dairy-free cheese, but I'm not reviewing the quality of the food at this time, since we turned away from our order when we discovered that it would cost an extra $7.99 to have non-dairy cheese on half of the a 14 inch (large) pizza. I'm not aware of how much extra it would have cost to have it added to the entire pizza.“

“We were from out of town to watch our goddaughter's softball game and stopped in afterwards to eat. It has a small town feel, but these spots are the best because people tend to be friendlier than city locations. The service was great, they had patience with us and were helpful with our menu questions. We came in as a group of about 25 people but some of us ordered separately. Salad bar was fully stocked up and they even had a little beer bar too. Very nice service and food tasted fresh and delicious.

Parking: Restaurant is located in a small shopping center but there was still plenty of parking on a Sunday around 2pm.

Kid-friendliness: There are coin operated games and prize machines for kids to play with.“
