“While traveling through California from Phoenix, our friends took us to Nevada City, where we stopped in to enjoy a wine tasting flight. This winery proudly advertises itself as the oldest operating winery in Nevada City, with wines crafted onsite using grapes sourced from local private vineyards. They also host a variety of events throughout the week, which are worth exploring.

The tasting room is inviting and thoughtfully designed, offering multiple seating areas where guests can relax and enjoy their wine. There is also a charming outdoor patio that adds to the overall experience.

As for the wine, I was pleasantly surprised. While I don’t typically favor red wines, I found their selection to be well-balanced and enjoyable, changing my expectations in the best way. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable.

“I have always liked the Papa Murphy's pizza. I usually get a family sized thin crust with just pepperoni. I get 2 marinara sauces, then I go to my local market to get some linguica sausage and other fresh veggie ingredients, grate some pecorino romano cheese, then put it altogether and bake it. It makes an excellent pizza and I don't have to pay $35. Papa Murphy's probably isn't happy hearing that I just use their pizza as a base for an even better pizza. But really, that is a compliment to their dough and sauce.”

“Stoked to have a good taqueria spot in Nevada city. I ordered the Baja fish tacos and they were delicious, fish was crispy, red cabbage was fresh, sauce was perfect, very please, my new favorite. My husband got the Cali burrito and was so happy with it, very good. We ordered the kids quesadillas for my son and he very much enjoyed it! We also got the cantaloupe aqua Fresca and it was amazing! Very refreshing! Ordered 2 churros to go to finish it off and they were to die for. 10/10 we will be back for sure. So happy to have a new spot so close to home.”
