“Had a great dinner at Lola's! Excellent small plates, mains, dessert, and cocktails. Especially recommend the halibut and pappardelle. Everything was cooked to perfection - much appreciated. Cocktails were on point as well. Sara(h) was a perfect server and very personable.”

“While traveling through California from Phoenix, our friends took us to Nevada City, where we stopped in to enjoy a wine tasting flight. This winery proudly advertises itself as the oldest operating winery in Nevada City, with wines crafted onsite using grapes sourced from local private vineyards. They also host a variety of events throughout the week, which are worth exploring.

The tasting room is inviting and thoughtfully designed, offering multiple seating areas where guests can relax and enjoy their wine. There is also a charming outdoor patio that adds to the overall experience.

As for the wine, I was pleasantly surprised. While I don’t typically favor red wines, I found their selection to be well-balanced and enjoyable, changing my expectations in the best way. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable.

“We finally got a chance to dine at Nourish, and we’re so happy we did! We walked in at 5:00pm on the dot, and were told there’s no available seating until 7:00pm. Oh no!! So we wasted time for 2 hours. Upon returning, we were given 2 seats at the bar. The nigiri and rolls were so fresh and delicious!! The service was fantastic, and the chefs were on point! “The Shaft is no “dive bar”. It’s a local favorite, with great staff and a relaxed environment. Food is next door, at Fred’s. Perfect “hungry” food, and Fred owns the Shaft, so they bring it to your table!!”
