About Java John's

Java John's is a friendly and welcoming independent coffee house located in the heart of Nevada City, on an old historic street. It offers delicious food and coffee in a casual, not fussy atmosphere. The menu includes vegan options and creative items like the Bageltini, Egg Puck, and Jalapeño bagel, which can be combined into a tasty sandwich. Customers enjoy the great coffee, with options like the hot s'mores latte and iced mocha, though some drinks may vary in flavor. The food is highly praised, with standout dishes such as the club sandwich, pasta salad, and chocolate chip cookies. Egg bites are a popular breakfast choice, providing just the right amount of food. While service can slow down during busy times, staff are aware and do their best to serve quickly. Visitors appreciate the chill vibe, the opportunity to sit and relax, and the chance to support a local spot that offers a good experience without the fuss of bigger chains. Overall, Java John's is a beloved spot worth visiting for its friendly service, good food, and cozy atmosphere.

The most friendly people work for Elizabeth the owner, and obviously love working there. A local hangout with an awesome “Feng shui” fun relaxing atmosphere!

A definite regular for sure☕️

Don't recommend them for the scones only as the rest of their stuff I have not tried, but I ordered a scone - it was one of the smallest, most expensive scones I've ever had at $6 (!!!) They are normally $3.50-$5 elsewhere. When the gal was grabbing it and I saw how small it was I almost wanted to cancel the order but felt as if it was too late. Maybe I'll come back and try something else that's not so expensive.
