“We came in today to treat the kids after flu shots. They were STOKED and Sabrina was super helpful. She chatted with the kids, looked suitably amazed at all their ridiculous 4 year old wisdom, told them stories, and was generally great. The store was clean and the toppings were fresh, not stale. She was holding the place down by herself, even though it seemed fairly busy for a Monday night. (PS my go to combo is Tart yogurt with Fruity Pebbles and sometimes blackberries if I’m feeling fancy)“
“Really fun atmosphere with friendy customer service and a wide variety of new flavors and custom treats. I really love the staff. They always greet customers with a smile and make your order exactly the way you want. Conveintantly located next to SPD and the Pinecreek shopping center. The Gold Country Stage bus stop is within a few yards, so it's quite easy to get where you need to be. To me what really makes this a special place is that you can sit with family and friends and enjoy all the sweet smells and sounds of people doing what we do best, eating ice cream! The sundae (all varieties) is a classic recipe, always consistently good and their shakes are top notch. Larger cones are hand made right there at the counter. Restrooms are clean. I hope eventually they might add a few hot drinks to their menu, coffee, cocoa, cider, etc. and more vegan treats.“
“I just had the best BLT I have ever had and it inspired me to write this review. This coffee spot is a gem as everything they have is such high quality and the owners and all the staff are some of the best people I have met. I love their light roast pour over. Every coffee I've had has been so good I can taste the care and passion that goes into it. If you haven't, get down to Penn Valley and give it a try.“
“This place makes the best ice cream in the world. My daughter used to work there so we would get to taste what she brought home. Amazing flavors you can't find anywhere else. What they don't make upstairs, they purchase locally. There's vegan and sorbet available as well. The sorbet is our favorite. The in house waffle cones perfume the building.“

“I have to say that I truly enjoyed my time in the shop. There are a few reasons why but one of the biggest reasons was actually the two girls that were working that day. Absolutely wonderful human beings. Sweet, personable, friendly, and just fun to chat with. They were very attentive to the customers as well which is always nice :-) This feels like an old-time candy shop that you would find way back in the day. I loved it. It actually reminded me of a candy shop that's in Columbia California but without the period dress. It's warm and inviting. There are quite a few different types of candy that you won't find at the grocery store. The required clove and blackjack gum are available as well :-) I saw the candy cigarettes that I have not seen since I was a little kid I didn't even know they made them anymore! They had a great assortment of gummies as well. This included the haribo happy cherries that have become far more difficult to find than really should be. They have quite a few different truffles but since I had just been to the travel shop I didn't purchase any here. What I did get was a variety of old time candies, gummies, a few specialty chocolates and the epic find of the day which were the most delicious Turkish delights I have had ever. I wish I knew the brand they buy! These were phenomenal. I just got the assorted fruit, I didn't try the rose flavor as it's not always my favorite in Turkish delights. However if it's anything like the fruit flavored ones, I bet it would be amazing. Much like the truffle shop I am actually glad this is an hour away from me because I would be here all the time and probably weigh over a thousand pounds because of all the sweet goodness. I will definitely make an effort to visit the shop more often however.“
