Incredible food served with a warm smile. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. This is one of those "small hole in the wall" places that are amazing.

The food was OK, but different service was great and the ambience was kind of eclectic but we had a good time

Very large portions. Fish tacos were great. Full plate includes salad, beans and rice. Owner was super friendly.

This eatery is more than a bakery. We found it on yelp today and tried it for the first time. We ordered the chicken enchalada and fish taco meals. Both were very delicious and serving size was huge. I wanted to keep eating even when my belly was full! It comes with a basket of crispy tortilla chips, 1 red and 1 green sauce, a salad, Mexican rice, refried beans that stayed nice and hot in a perfect way thru the meal. The place is so cute, very clean and welcoming. Service is great and friendly. I wish we had discovered Cafe Rico sooner. It is now our new go-to for a wonderful and delicious Mexican meal. We highly recommend it. You will leave well fed and happy, happy!

Excellent food! The main courses are wonderful and the pastries are way too tempting. Everything is hand made by Estella.

This place is so so so very nourishing! Of the dozen or more Mexican-style eateries in NC and GV, Cafe Rico makes the best vegan burrito I've had in town!

Wow! After visiting Grass valley for almost a week, I ate here every day with a happy tummy! The super burrito was the most flavorful and we'll put together burrito I've ever had. The quesadilla had an assortment of amazing cheese, veggies, and definitely not your regular style of low grade meat... This beautiful hole in the wall cafe. Some of the best food I have ever had! Even the cappuccinos and espresso. There are so beautiful with the authentic coffee cups and proper espresso cups used. I appreciate this hard-working lady behind the counter with the big smile and the most cute demeanor! Thank you dear for making the best food I have had in years! Make sure you come and visit and support #smallbusiness#grassvalleyfoodKid-friendliness: Amazing place for kidsWheelchair accessibility: You can get inDietary restrictions: Amazing vegetarian options! Cafe Rico is a HIDDEN gem in Grass Valley. Stella's eardrum hospitality and authentic Salvadorian food create a brilliant meal. I look forward to shrimp burritos and papusas as tasty as my fish tacos! Try this cafe for a delightful meal.

If I could give more stars I would! Came and got a red smoothie (delicious!) $8.50 ended up being $9.33 with tax, does not take card or tap pay so I had to scrounge some change from my car and I only had the $8.50 and the very kind owner of cafe Rico didn't even bat an eye about the rest, (I even offered to work for payment) on top of that she even gave me some of her homemade cookies to try!! Made perfect to dunk in tea hot or coffee btw. Not often do you meet people as genuine as the owner, super nice lady and the food she makes smells, and looks amazing. As a cook for two years in fine dining I can confirm the food is healthy, filling, most certainly tasty and priced fair, the kitchen/prep area looked to be clean and well kept as well as seating area. Casual ambiance, succulents, dark hardwood floors, with warm white walls really compliments the lighting. Was a little tricky to find off East main st because of how small this shop is (and how much it looks like a home) but totally worth the experience! Would highly recommend!
