We frequent Thai restaurants and this place was excellent last year.
I don't know what changed but the food lacks Thai flavor and the spicy Tom Yum is inedible.
I always love my food here and usually it great-never had an issue. However, there was a hair wrapped in my fresh spring roll. Please remind your employees to practice good hygiene and to pull hair back. Like I said I never had an issue until now.
Awesome food, terrible service
Spring rolls were ok.
I ordered a curry but was given noodle soup instead. I always order curry, never noodle soup. So there i sat with a giant a bowl of noodle soup and side of rice. Big disappointment. When i pointed out their mistake, i felt like i was guilted to just eat that as though it was my fault. So i fished out the meat and put it on the rice given my allergy to the noodles. Even though they made the mistake i was still charged the full price for a soup & side of rice. More than the curry would have been. I should have argued it, but in an effort to not create a scene i just paid and left. Sorry but wont be coming back here again.
Good food. Wait staff was not exceptional. But hey, everyone has bad days.
Some of the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. 🙌
I eat here, the same dish iniside, on a regular basis. MY BIGGEST ISSUE!!!! The few times ive called in a order to-go its LESS then HALF the amount that i get when i sit to eat......When i eat inside and take home what i dont eat, its 2 of the to-go soup containers. When i get it only togo its one .....
Good quality food for the price. The wait staff are friendly and food comes out quick. Large portions at dinner time are great for sharing.
The food was good and the prices are reasonable but the server was just okay
Restaurantji Recommends
I am disappointing with the portion of the lunch that i have ordered. So i ordered a green curry and all i see is curry sauce with 5 pieces of chicken in it. Not worth the price .They are over charging.Probably will not go there to often unless i have no choice
Good food, reasonable prices.
Everything was delicious, everything!
We drove up early to Grass Valley on a Sunday, for the day to visit friends. After a great day at Empire Mine State Park and a few fun estate sales, we went to Chandara for lunch.
We were all greeted warmly and seated at a great table by the window. Our friends who eat there often said the food was amazing, IT IS!
We ordered and shared the fried shrimp appetizer, Tom Kha soup, salmon curry, and the Ginger Roots with tofu. Every dish was divine, fresh ingredients, full flavors, hot (temp), ample portions for three hungry adults and some leftover.
Without question, some of the best Thai food we have ever had, anywhere! I would drive up to Grass Valley (from Berkeley) again, just to eat at Chandara. Honestly cannot stop thinking about the Ginger Roots with tofu😩😩🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼. Cannot wait to go back!
This is the second Thai restaurant I've eaten at in Grass Valley. The presentation of the fresh ingredients looks great. What surprised me the most is that I ordered larb. The lemongrass is fragrant and the lemon is sour and a little spicy. It's completely appetizing. It's served with white rice. It’s really delicious, bite after bite. Definitely recommend this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.
Arguably one of the best Thai restaurants in the whole Northern California. We often come here after skiing in Tahoe area. Always good. Thanks for being here!
