I went there looking for a romantic afternoon with my husband. And it was perfect. The guy who poured our wine tasting was very nice. We had a wonderful afternoon drinking wine and enjoying the Sierra view. And you can bring your own snacks.
If it was a warm summer day, these sweet wines could be enjoyed on their minilawn with a Sierra view. Otherwise, tasting the mediocre wines in an industrial setting lacks depth and charm.
The mountain views are fascinating and the server is cool. Just hard to find the entrance to get in here.
Matt was kind and knowledgeable. No-frills wine tasting of some great wines, followed by a picnic with a beautiful view. Come pay a visit!
Kid Friendly (I have a 16 month old). There was Connect Four and a Big Jenga. Lots of grass areas where you can keep your children separate from those wishing to just enjoy their wine and the view. There are quite some big hillside drops so obviously just keep an eye on your kiddos, like you should be anyways. The gentleman pouring our tastings (Matt?) was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. The Chardonnay and Cab Franc was my fav. Such a beautiful view high on the hill side WOW.

Such an amazing place! It's off the beaten path but we'll worth it.
What a great place and friendly people! A lot of nice signs to guide us to the tucked away vineyard.
Lucchesi Winery is worth the drive on a narrow road. The winery is beautiful; the view is amazing; and the wine is delicious and unique. Everyone is so friendly. We sat in the shade overlooking the amazing view and enjoyed a glass of wine. It was so relaxing and cool under the trees. Highly recommended!
Great place, friendly staff, worth the drive.

Great wine and beautiful views!

I highly recommend this exceptional five-star wedding venue. The enchanting and unique experience felt like a beautiful garden party, complete with stunning views, great wine, and happy guests. Linda, the property owner, was fabulous and accommodating, making the planning process easy and enjoyable. Overall, a special and wonderful day thanks to the outstanding efforts of Linda and her team.
Tasty wines and wonderful views.Other reviewers commenting on "crazy roads" or "way out there" are obviously boring people from flat and boring cities. The roads were normal for the area and just fine. The winery and vineyard is 13 minutes from highway 49 via La Barr Meadows, or 12 minutes from downtown Grass Valley via 174 and Rattlesnake Rd. Signage getting to the winery from Rattlesnake and Brooks is excellent (if you don't see Lucchesi signs you're going the wrong way). The boutique winery and vineyard are nestled in the foothills with a stunning, panoramic view of the sierras. Miles was a groovy guy who gave us our tasting and introduced us to the vineyard dogs. Our favorite wines were the cabernet sauvignon and the reserve zinfandel. Recommend bringing some snacks or a picnic with you, as they do not serve food.
Amazing views. Crazy drive. Mediocre wines. PSA: Take the LaBarr Meadows route vs Alta Vista. The winery pups guarded our truck while we tasted.
