Two stars because the cashier was nice, and the mango habanero salsa was decent. The very bland food left much to be desired. I got the asada burrito. The beans just tasted like beans (bland, no spice). The rice just tasted like rice (bland, no spice). The "asada" tasted like grisly, dry, flavorless pot roast. The lettuce was crisp, but when the lettuce is the star of a carne asada burrito, something is wrong. With local places like El Gaban and El Barrio, you have better options than this place. When you open up a new restaurant in a small town you need to be special, not the same food as other places, just done worse.

My expectations were as high as what I paid for lunch. I was pretty disappointed. :( I don't normally jump on here to complain, but I waited for a while for my food, and it wasn't anything to write home about. :( Leftys Tacos would be rolling in its grave. RIP Leftys.EDIT: I paid $21 for extremely overcooked meat. I'm all for spending my money locally, but honestly that was terrible. Drop the prices.

The services was great! That being said the food was bland and poor quality. The salsa bar needed to be filled up and some items tasted like old salsas, hot sauces. I have never tasted such bland Mexican food and I've been to Mexico enough times knowing how they flavor/season foods. The chips were freshly made and were very good and they didn't charge extra like one place that I love their tacos in the Fowler center. I hope this place gets their act together!

I've really missed affordable $10 lunches, taco tuesdays, water fountains, salsa bars, real silverware, and complimentary chip baskets but this spot has all of it!
Pretty good Mexican food for the area! Grass valley has seen an influx of Mexican restaurants and Madi's stands out.

Just got togo food, cashier is unfriendly ordered a taco salad thinking it came with beef. The salad had literally no beans in it. For 12$ i was disappointed. My husband got two tacos they were the most poorly put together it was funny.

We love Madi's. We have gotten food at their Colfax location to go, really good. We were thrilled that they are on E. Main in Grass Valley also. Their food is really good. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Can't wait til they have beer and wine so we can dine in with friends. Lots of Mexican restaurants in GV, some really bad this is the best.
Their Queso Birria tacos are amazing. Great Taco Tuesday deals. And awesome salsa bar.
