Mountain Mike's Pizza

Ordered a large GF pizza and paid $60…..what I received was the teeny-tiniest large pizza I have ever seen. I don’t see how anyone could either accept or advertise the pizza I received as a large.
Not only this, it was burnt, brittle, and dry.

I am sure none of the capable people who work here intended to create or send out such a terrible pizza. There seems to be a pervasive issue with quality control here.

Did I eat it? Yes, because I was really hungry.
Did I enjoy it? Somewhat, in the very one-star way in which a little dog might enjoy nibbling on burnt crusts.

Grateful that it’s even possible to order a pizza in my lifetime, and yet this pizza has left a lot to be desired.

It was one of those pizzas which remind you of the importance of acceptance and keeping a good sense of humor, even among life's many great and small indignities.
(In this case, a very small one.)

If you care about good food and receiving value, I suggest you learn from my mistake and order elsewhere.

I ordered the nut knots and they came to me burnt so I took them back and asked for a re-order this time they weren’t cooked clear through and we’re doughy. The pizza was dry the green peppers onions nothing was cooked very little cheese and sauce. I have been coming to Mountain Mike’s for years will no longer patronize Them. Horrible. I threw everything away.

I’ve been to this Mountain Mike’s a few times and it’s always a solid experience—pizza comes out hot and loaded with toppings, the staff is friendly, and the place is clean. Definitely one of the better locations I’ve been to and worth stopping in if you’re in Grass Valley.

We have been coming to this location for over 30 years.
Since the sale, the quality has definitely been noticed. We always got a combo. Consistent, delicious and fresh. Now, not sure who is making these pizzas, but it’s sloppy, and we can taste it. Also, it doesn’t have that “Mountain Mike’s” taste anymore. Probably will have to find another pizza place to patron. This is too bad, we want to support our local business owners, but things are different now.

Ordered a chicken, bacon, olive pizza and it was practically inedible. The chicken was either fake or undercooked as it was chewy and just a disgusting texture and taste. For being one of the most expensive pizza places in town you would think quality products would be served and that is not the case. Will never receive my business again and I will be reporting to the food board as this is a recipe for giving customers salmonella.

Clean restaurant! Fresh hot thin crust pizza. The veggie’s cooked to perfection! The McKinley is the way to go!

Food was good and hot. timing was quick and service was friendly.

I love the pizza here! It is pricey but I believe you get what you pay for. Restaurant was clean and staff are friendly and helpful.

I got charged for waters for an indoor dining area and had to pay around $15 for 4 waters. Not sure if this was an error by employee or standard service, but I will never return especially after seeing and hearing the same thing happening to other customers. Better off getting water from the gas station than here.

Awhile back I called in before closing to order our food so it would be ready when we got there since they were closing soon. Upon arrival, I paid for it and was given the pizza in a box although I asked to dine in. I ordered pizza, one soda and 3 waters. After I paid I realized the amount didn’t seem right. Come to find out, the employee charged me over $15 for water. She went on to tell me that it is their policy that they have to charge me for the cup although I asked to dine in. I insisted in getting my refund and the girl was really rude. Another employee came and made sure to make it right. Because it was so wrong. I never did see the refund however I called the owner that following week. I was really impressed with her professionalism and appreciated her call. I even told her I would continue to support her business and let this be a training opportunity for them. Tonight, for the first time since the incident I called and placed an order to go. I was 2 minutes from the restaurant and got a call from the same employee who tried to charge me for the waters telling me that I was blocked from their system and have been banned to order from their restaurant. Now I have been overcharged, denied service and wasted gas trying to give them business. I will absolutely NEVER step foot in this place again and will continue to share my story to others.

Do not go here overpriced !!Ok went for lunch yesterday was 20 something dollars for two drinks and a mini pizza !! Overpriced the place was empty I see why ….took a long time to get our pizza and was tiny luckily was good but I will not be eating there again anytime soon
