Robin I think his name was very rude to my driver about making a drink with no ice, and he said that would cost me extra money. I asked for “EXTRA, EXTRA. EXTRA” crispy home fries, and got barely cooked potatatoes. the whole meal was cold. So, no sir. The previously mentioned things, are the things are the things that are going to cost you money. The place is only five minutes away. I called, and he was totally unwilling to do anything to compensate or correct any items. And then hung up on me. Twice…He was rude to the driver as well when she got there. This man has no business in the service industry. THIS will cost him money. I personally will never order from there again. And I will make sure the most amount of people that I can do not either. Hope that was a satisfying screwup on a Pepsi, home fries, and just a generally not good, cold meal. This is also coming from a 25 year service industry worker. I owned a restaurant and bar for 20 years. This guy couldn’t have worked for me for more than 10 minutes!

Steak was rare and ordered medium. 2020 Trump hat visible to all customers which shows which side they sit on and makes some uncomfortable. Sign on wall says it all so obviously not all welcome here. Watched owner on phone call become angry and slam phone down. Breakfast anyone?!

Perfect sized menu and great service. The all day breakfast is awesome for late risers like myself. Eggs and steak were cooked exactly as requested. Even the mimosas were a nice finisher

Great hometown feel with great food and a good selection on the menu. The owner was our waiter. He was congenial and provided excellent service. I had the Mexican Omelette and my wife had the Rueben sandwich. Both of which were tasty.

Excellent food and exceptionally friendly staff. I can see why they are the longest running restaurant in Grass Valley.

Ordered from their menu for Breakfast. Breakfast Burrito with no tortilla &, no onions for $11.79. The breakfast was good. When I reviewed bill: Breakfast Burrito 11.79 plus two additional charges of .99 with no explanation. I reviewed the menu to make sure home fries were included (which they were) the waitress informed me that she was told to charge the extra as I ordered different than what is offered and therefore had to charge me for a "Make your own scramble" pricing. I responded then you should have said that when I ordered or state that on the menu. I asked if they would resolve as I did want to leave a tip and did not think this was right that they charge without this being on their menu nor state that when ordering. I figured the waitress could not make that decision so I asked for the manager. I could have just paid and not left a tip but I didn't think that was right as I would have shorted the waitress and it wasn't her fault. When I asked the waitress for the manager, the waitress started yelling at me to just leave and not pay for it and said if I didn't leave she would call the police. I tried to speak with the man I thought to be the owner to pay but he also wanted me to leave. Turns out that the waitress was also the wife of the owner. If you are going to sneak increases in the simplest way is to take it back off when the customer notices. Instead they created drama in their restaurant making it look like I was behaving badly. Yes small businesses work hard but it doesn't give them the right to take advantage of people. Many folks are on fixed incomes. So the food is good but be sure to check you bill and beware of an extremely hostel response to questioning your bill (which I did calmly and nicely). It was a miserable experience to have the police called and them telling you to leave when you haven't paid. All for a $1.98 overcharge. I blame Covid experience for the over reaction from owner. Of course I'll never go back.

Had New Year’s Day lunch here and even though it was packed, the service was quick and the food was delicious! Glad we finally got to visit this place. Not sure what waitress people are complaining about but even though they were busy, everyone was nice. Maybe rushed? But friendly. They hustled their butts to get our food to us fast, and I appreciate that.I feel like people have forgotten what it’s like to eat in public. Stay home and make your own food if you’re impatient.

Very good post-drinking breakfast. Country breakfast is my favorite. Servers are all very kind, great service. Never had those issues other reviewers have had. I did feel EXTREMELY annoyed at the way the old manager dude treats his employees. what an a**hole. Can i keep my tips from him?

Rudest woman ever and owner had us move after we were told to be seated. (I assume he thoughtwe were just sitting without ordering. I already was seated and had coffee, all I asked was if I could have some sugar. She was so rude about the whole situation. Isn't that her job? I am a native to this area, this is not the Bay Area. If you don't like your job, Lisa, then Quit. Or at least not bite my head off for asking. An apology is in order from both them. I won't recommend you go here unless rudeness is OK with you.My food was so cold along with butter being ice cold as youcan see it hasn't melted. Plates were only thing warm.THE WAITRESS THAT ACTUALLY SERVED US HAD THE BEST ATTITUDE, BIG SMILES AND GREAT SERVICE.

Waitress was a bit short on patience at first but warmed up nicely. We ate outside & it was delicious! Love supporting our locals!

Road House

Food was good and service very friendly. They are anti-vaxxers and back the blue people which is a bit odd

If I could give this place a ZERO I would. We waited for over a half hour and when we asked when the table.wpuld be ready the waitress gave us a bunch of excuses and made us wait longer. I told the owner the waitress was rude and she stepped up in my face and said "then leave" BTW I am 6months pregnant and she was two inches from my face. Horrible experience
