This is my second visit to Panoy Bistro, taking two new people with me. We all absolutely loved the food - satay salad, curry rice, vang vieng and ping gai. The waitress took a little while (and effort on our part) to warm to us, but she has served me before and on that occasion was very friendly. In both cases she was attentive and explained everything well.
My first visit was a midweek lunchtime and the indoor bistro was busy and lively with chatter. Today’s visit was a Saturday lunchtime and we were the only people on the outdoor patio (there was nobody inside either). We made our own atmosphere, of course, but it was not a lively spot if that’s what you’re looking for. Perhaps other Saturdays are different (it’s a holiday weekend).
We cannot wait to go back and try other things on the extensive menu.

I have been here four times. I really wanted to love this place because the food was good BUT the service sucks! Suuucks- we've had the same server every time who happens to be a very moody unhappy person. She will take orders and acts like she doesn't like questions. After she brings your food she'll disappear for ever only to return with the check. She appears very upset if you try to order desert. The last time she said they were out of dessert. They act like you are being bothersome yet we are paying and would love to tip well. After the 4th time of the same bad attitude we've decided to look for other options. WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK!

So, here’s the deal.
The food was good.
Service was decent. To say “not too invasive,” is about right.
However, the tables were sticky. The overall atmosphere seemed clean so I can attribute the stickiness to the lack of cleaning off the cleaning products rather than just being dirty. There was no feeling of dirtiness. So it must be a lack of washing off the cleaning products.
With every step the waitress walked we heard her sticking to the floor. Again, with the impossibility of the stuff from the kitchen spilling over into the dining area, we can only assume the cleaning products were not rinsed off.
Either way, I’ll be back because whether they rinse off the cleaning products properly or not, at least we know they’re using them.
The not stellar service review was because we sat for 15 minutes before anyone came. Then another 15 min. Before our appetizer was presented. Then another 5 minutes before we for our iced tea. All was ordered at the same time.

Small enclosed restaurant, flavors are good, service was a hit or miss. Waiter sat me and quickly cleaned the table without wiping it and said it was ready. They didnt change the water pitcher that was previously used by the last customer. Never gave me a new one. I ordered beef where it comes on a sizzling plate. It tasted good! But bummer is the sizzling plate was not sizzling, why even bother using a sizzling plate if u arent even gonna heat it. Might as well just use a regular plate and dont advertise it that its on a sizzling plate.

Not Thai food but similar. Delicious South East Asian food. Really good flavor and very sweet staff. it feels like home when I come here. Now I'm not from South East Asia but I've been there and it feels the most authentic for sure. Definitely recommend!

Panoy Bistro – A Hidden Gem Worth Every Mile!
I don’t write reviews often, but Panoy Bistro absolutely deserves this one.
I drove 4 hours to get here, and after just one bite of their beef drunken noodles, I knew I’d be back—multiple times a year. These were hands down the best noodles I’ve had in YEARS—perfectly chewy, packed with flavor, and just the right balance of spice and savoriness. You can really taste the love and authenticity in every bite.
To top it off, I tried a Lao beer, and wow—what a surprise! Crisp, refreshing, and a perfect pairing with the dish. It totally opened my eyes to Lao cuisine, and I’ll definitely be diving deeper into it from now on.
The vibe was cozy and welcoming, the service was warm and friendly, and the food? Unforgettable.
If you’re even thinking about coming here—do it. Worth every mile, every minute, and every bite.

It is a bit pricy for the amount of food, but it is fresh, delicious, and perfectly seasoned. I highly recommend it if you want the best around.
