Amazing Laotian food in Nevada City! So rare to find a Laotuab restaurant but this place exceeded expectations! The curries we're delectable (try the Ginger Curry), papaya salad was perfectly spiced, and the sticky rice was great. Service is very friendly and helpful, and the space is fresh, lots of plants, and comfortable.
OMG! Ordered the Lao Honey Noodles to go. THE MOST DELICIOUS THING I HAVE EATEN IN AGES. Light rice noodles paired with lettuce, tomatoes, carrots and that incredible honey dressing. I could not identify all the ingredients in the dressing, couldn't really find it online, either. Now I'm hooked and will have to come back often as this light noodle salad is ADDICTING! I accidentally went here when searching for Thai food options in the area. It is not Thai food. It is Lao food.
Boy what a fortuitous mistake on my part! This is the best Lao food I have had and I have travelled in SE Asia. This is not just "on par" with the rare Lao food restaurant in the SF Bay Area, LA, or the Pacific Northwest. This is arguably better than most of those!
