Stopped here for a business dinner while on a trip to SLO area. The restaurant is perfectly decorated and laid out in a comfortable layout with a small patio area. Our serves was polite and helpful when describing items on the menu and their preparation. The wine list is easy to navigate with great local selections to pick from. The menu was also easy to navigate, minimalist with each dish executed to our satisfaction. I would recommend this place to anyone I know who likes seafood and will be in the area.

Pono is a culinary gem located in the Central Coast. Fresh and delicious seafood served with a blend of Asian and Mediterranean tastes. Excellent service.

The bread and peppers apps are very good. The lettuce salad is under dressed and more in the sweet than savory side. Portions are large. The butter fish and ahi were pretty good. The fingerling potatoes served with the ahi were so over cooked you couldn't Speer them with a fork. It's a fine place but not outstanding. Our server was very nice but she didn't clear plates and when our salads arrived we had multiple dirty dishes in the table that she just left there. At the end of the evening, she never brought the check! I had to chase her down. I give it 2.5 stars out of 5z

Great spot! Calamari was light and good. Ill definitely try a different app next time. The scallops and crusted Mahi were the stars. Both dishes were bomb! Would definitely order those again. ❤️

Our server was Ellejae, we have had her before and she is so nice and friendly. We always get the Halter Ranch Grenache Blanc, Bread and butter and I get the Mac Nut Mahi Mahi and so did my husband this time. Also, my friend who originally told me about this place sometime ago, her and her fiancé showed up. It was a nice surprise as the husband's got to meet.

Honestly delightfully surprised at this place. The food was fantastic from the oysters to the salad to the butterfish and mahi. Wished they had a full bar but overall definitely give this place a try.

This is some of the best food I’ve ever had. Every single thing we ordered had layers of flavor and texture, to the point where we ordered bread after finishing our entrees just to be able to soak up all the sauces (and then found ourselves in love with the honey butter).
The squash appetizer and butter fish entree were particularly delightful, but we ate every bite of everything and loved it. I couldn’t pick a favorite between the desserts. Beautiful wine (and beer) list and they even did a nice nonalcoholic cocktail upon request.

This place is my favorite spot to go to for elevated seafood in the five cities area. The macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi and the butterfish were perfectly cooked and the accompanying sauces are absolutely delicious. I also love the forbidden rice! Their desserts are also excellent, highly recommend their crème brûlée. Service is great as well, and their atmosphere is modern and elevated without feeling stuffy or prententious.
