The food was mediocre. The pricing seemed high for what you got. It seemed like the food was just warmed over not necessarily cooked fresh. The waitress was quite nice. WARNING: for anyone using the bathroom it is dangerous to exit as the wait staff come out of the kitchen and could easily hit you with a kitchen door in the shoulder as they did my husband. Manager knows of this "design flaw". Grover Beach location.

The potatoe salad has way to much mustard and very chunky. Meats are delicious but I think you should get 4 ribs on the combos especially for gow much your charging. They also seemed to be out of alot of the dessert options. It was freezing cold and we had to ask to close the door we were sat next to. Food over all was good .

Cancelled our order after 45 mins. The worst, won’t be back.

Really surprised. Customer service was great. The place has had a brighter upgrade now that it’s ribline but it’s wasted space. Ugly. And cold. The food is depressing, the appetizers were cold, the “famous” chili was bland and lacked flavor. The trip top sandwich was cut way to thick and you couldn’t bite through it.Really frustrating. The only thing that was good was the shoe string friesEdit; I find it annoying that the owner commented so rudely on our honest reaction to the update and not the cold and bland food. It seriously felt like the appetizers, that came out really quickly, were premade and then reheated. The rib line in SLO is excellent for the food quality so it was a huge shock.Your staff is great and super friendly. No complaints there. The wasted space comes in the area of the old bar in the center of the entrance that isn’t functional and the back part that is now set up as an ice cream bar? That’s not being used? The chairs are outdoor uncomfortable metal, and there is so much space in between all the tables that you could add more dining if needed. The white and cream could use some more vibrant blues and sea greens, would make it less washed out. The floors are nice.

I got their food on door dash as I am out of town and in a hotel. I never write bad reviews but this is the worst food I've ever gotten. My dasher was not slow, so my food should not have been cold, and it certainly should have been cooked at some point. we got a baked potato, ribs, cornbread, chili, and the mac and cheese balls. Not one item was hot and the only thing that would have been safe to eat is the chili, which sucked anyway. Also there were no forks or napkins. Glad now they saved me the trouble.

The tri tip was absolutely delicious. So good. The potato salad was decent but weird. It had egg in it.Can't review the garlic bread because the server forgot it and she didn't come back to the table even though there was only 3 other people in the entire place. I even tipped her 30+%. The other server seemed attentative to her customers.

BBQ at it's finest! Just the right amount of heat on the Spicy Chicken sandwich, which I highly recommend. We also had the pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, corn bread with delicious cinamon butter and the HOUSE MADE chili was perfect!! All meat and perfect heat. Highly recommend this place. Well done.

Ordered the 2 meat/2 side meal for a total of $32 dollars before tax. However, one beef rib mostly bone, and 4 little baby back ribs were tasty, but not a value for the price. Had to back after opening at home since the first beef rib had no meat.

The food was plain. No flavor In the tri tip taco. And the fish tacos tasted like char. Not to mention the “kiss the piggy” sandwich was soggy and drenched in sauce it wasn’t even enjoyable. So disappointing I’ve always heard amazing things about this restaurant but It definitely didn’t leave that good first impression. Tried to eat my moneys worth but never again.

I love this very local place. The food is good basic bbq and the atmosphere is "chill". I often drop in just for a drink in the evening and to pick up a nice take home dinner. I love the Beach Balls! The prices are right, the staff is extremely friendly. It just feels right for a local bar & grill.
