Everything is scratch made, the owner Brooke was very helpful and nice.... I had the scratch made bologna sandwich, it was mind blowing! My wife had the scratch made Chicken and dumplings, and they were fantastic! They also sampled their Tomato bisque... Again delicious! Highly recommend!
We are so happy to have found the Spoon Trade for our second night in Pismo Beach. Ok, it’s in Grover but we stayed in Pismo… the atmosphere is casual and the food is amazing! If you have one night in the area, this has to be it! We had the grilled sourdough starter and I had the fried chicken while my wife had the ratatouille. They were both very fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Our server Tahlia was very informative and super attentive. Fantastic place, perfect experience and a can’t miss evening!
Wow! What a fabulous restaurant! Very chef driven and an inspired menu with a twist on everyone's favorites from fried chicken to meatloaf. But definitely not your mother's recipes -for the meat loaf picture steak au piovre in your favorite Parisian bistro. Everything is super fresh, local and farm to table. Definitely the same caliber as Embers. We loved it!
Fabulous. The fried bologna sandwich was great
Our first time here and so sorry it took so long!! Unbelievable food that you would not expect from such a quaint establishment. Please do yourself a favor and come experience this place for yourself.

We saw The Spoon Trade on DDD and had to try it on our last road trip to Disneyland. It did not disappoint! The staff was extremely friendly and the food was phenomenal! I’m still thinking about the Cheesy Bread Pudding a week later. And if you like fried bologna (even if you don’t like fried bologna) get the Fried Bologna Sandwich! The Spoon Trade has been added to the favorites list.

Doing an appetizer crawl up and down Grand Ave in Grover Beach, we got the Cauliflower Tikka Masala with Polenta and holy smokes was it good! The unusual combination of polenta with Tikka Masala was such a pleasant surprise. The Arnold Palmer was also fresh and refreshing. An unusual menu full of interesting choices. Nice to try something different.

I’d been wanting to try this restaurant for years and was really Becci to give it a shot. Food was delicious! Very good. Everything is made from scratch so it was fresh and great! Atmosphere was lacking. Very basic and plain. Nothing special. For a high dollar restaurant, I was expecting something fancier. Guess they really don’t need it. Also, menu seemed kind of limited with more unique items than normal. All in all, I’ll be back for dinner next month. Stop by and check it out!

The menu had very few options to choose from, I have food allergies I can’t have tomatoes and garlic everything I chose I asked them if the cook can make it as bland as can be. The answer was no! I chose a swordfish it was a small portion on a bed of green beans. All for 39.00 dollars. I couldn’t enjoy it cause it was a tad bit spicy. My husband had chicken and waffles. Burnt chicken for 36.00. The server was friendly and efficient but over all the food was not good at all and pricey! I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone….Left very hungry and not satisfied.

Really good food. Not a huge selection of items but all freshly prepared and fantastic. Great selection of beer. I'm not a wine drinker but appeared to have many choices.
All the dishes our party had were very good.
We will be back.

The Spoon Trade is an absolute gem! From DAY ONE, the food has been consistently amazing. Every dish bursts with flavor and creativity. Jake and Brooke, the owners, are some of the best and sweetest people I have ever met; their talent shines through every dish, and their caring, humble nature makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. It's heartwarming to see them helping out the staff when needed and engaging with all the customers to create a family-like environment. Our server, Drew, not only provided detailed descriptions of the menu but also made the experience so much fun. I can't recommend this restaurant enough!! You won't find anything like it.
