We saw The Spoon Trade on DDD and had to try it on our last road trip to Disneyland. It did not disappoint! The staff was extremely friendly and the food was phenomenal! I’m still thinking about the Cheesy Bread Pudding a week later. And if you like fried bologna (even if you don’t like fried bologna) get the Fried Bologna Sandwich! The Spoon Trade has been added to the favorites list.
Doing an appetizer crawl up and down Grand Ave in Grover Beach, we got the Cauliflower Tikka Masala with Polenta and holy smokes was it good! The unusual combination of polenta with Tikka Masala was such a pleasant surprise. The Arnold Palmer was also fresh and refreshing. An unusual menu full of interesting choices. Nice to try something different.

I’d been wanting to try this restaurant for years and was really Becci to give it a shot. Food was delicious! Very good. Everything is made from scratch so it was fresh and great! Atmosphere was lacking. Very basic and plain. Nothing special. For a high dollar restaurant, I was expecting something fancier. Guess they really don’t need it. Also, menu seemed kind of limited with more unique items than normal. All in all, I’ll be back for dinner next month. Stop by and check...
