This place had great service. We stopped by on a road trip north. There's a pretty good view of the ocean inside and at one of the tables outside. We would have loved to have sit inside and looked at the view, but the other table next to the big windows had a woman hitting her child, so we sat outside. Of course that wasn't the restaurant's fault, but it definitely was a damper. Both my husband and I greatly enjoyed our food - he had some sort of crab burger and I had some sort of tuna burger. Both were simple, but delicious!
Quality
Delicious food and spectacular view! Coconut shrimp and clam chowder warmed our souls for more beach exploration.
Friendly, helpful staff. Absolutely delicious food. Reasonable prices. We were surprised at the wait but someone had called in an order ahead of us. The view to watch the sunset was blocked
Good food. I had Azul burger. Wife had prawn sandwich and clam chowder. Both very good. Nice views. Service was a little lacking, may have just been our waiter. Host was prompt and welcoming
Wow! What a find! I’m visiting Gualala and wanted a nice dinner after a long day of travel. The server was so friendly and accommodating I placed an order for a soup- clam chowder which was perfect- and a salad but changed my mind about the salad and asked if I could switch- no problem and boy was I not disappointed! It was a massive bed of spinach with feta cheese, fresh crispy bacon all chopped up and walnuts- the dressing was avocado honey mustard I think - anyway it was just delicious and exactly what I wanted. As for the atmosphere , well you can’t get any better than a view of the pacific! Dining room was cozy and nice clean decor. I’ll be back here for sure because the menu items looked amazing- pasta, fish, and other interesting dishes. Yum!
Great views, good service, average to below average food. They were out of the beer I wanted, the wine my wife wanted and the fish i wanted for lunch. I got a serviceable burger and decent fries. Servers were good. Go there for the view, not the food.

Always amazing food and superb service. They never let us down and leave us with happy belly’s. Don’t forget to snag a beverage from the bar, you won’t be disappointed.

The place we wanted to go closed after answering the phone and saying they were open (St. Orr's) and so we gave Cove Azul a try, a more casual atmosphere to be sure but better everything than we expected. Nice people.

It was a little difficult to find the restaurant is upstairs in a group of buildings with other stores. There was a nice view but the windows were dirty and there were flies and a bee flying around. I asked if we could try to get the bee out. The server said no. It was a little busy, there were two waiters and the service was very slow. We ordered the fried seafood platter with salad to share and 2 nonalcoholic drinks. We got 2 prawns, 3 pieces of fish, 2 stips of calamari, 1 scallop, and 1 oyster. Most of it was overcooked, and the oyster didn't taste fresh.
The server didn't ask us how we were doing or if we needed anything. We got the bill, and I gave them my credit card. I went to the bathroom and my sister told the manager that we only got. 1 Oyster and 1 scallop. They refunded the whole meal in cash. I was surprised but still gave our server a cash tip %18.
So sad that they can't just clean the dust and spider webs off the windows. Get rid of the many flies and teach the servers to check in with the guests. The view was very nice. I just wanted the food and service to be better.

We had a great experience here on consecutive Saturday and Sunday evenings while staying nearby. Friendly local crowd, good food (we sampled burgers and fish & chips), friendly fast service, big portions, nice view, nice prices. Scott behind the bar was especially terrific. We appreciated this place is open until 9pm when many other nearby places close at 8pm. Recommended.

They were the only place open after 8pm on Sunday. We got it to go which took forever. I had to ask for everything- napkins, catsup, flatware. I would not have tipped in the end but, the tip was added in the beginning at the register. The French fries were awful like cooked in old oil. The rest of the food was good but over priced. We got calamari, fish and chips, clam chowder, and a mushroom burger.
