Tables are split between the road noise side and the water side. One is definitely better. ; )

Compared to all the coffee shops we hit while traveling, Trinks is in the middle of the pack.

Not bad, but not great.

None of their fare stands out. On par with Starbucks coffee but big selection of pastries and food that are all ok.

Expensive for what it is.

Two Fish has far better coffee and pastries.

One of the most popular eating establishments in Gualala. Very crowded as one would expect. Food great as are the pastries. Service is friendly.

The food is fine (though way overpriced, especially considering this is not a full-service restaurant). I got a reuben that was just OK while my wife got a fried chicken sandwich that she really liked (though the coleslaw was terribly oniony, as a previous reviewer wrote).

My wife's mocha did not arrive until after the food, at which point she no longer wanted it (but we kept it anyway).

You order at the register (like fast food), take a number and find your own table. They bring it, you eat, and then have to bus your own table.

This place is a perfect example of why the concept of pre-tipping is just wrong. One tips based on the quality of what they received and the service associated with it. While the food was fine, there was practically no service. So, essentially, the pre-tip is a bribery attempt, "Please make me a good sandwich," which may or may not happen. Had we known the place was practically self-service, we would not have tipped at all.

We will be returning to Gualala, but not Trinks Cafe.

It is also one of my favorite local spots with a very good selection of delicacies and meals that will satisfy you and keep you coming back.

Love this quaint cafe. Excellent coffee and pastries and their "real" food is great, too. Sit out back and enjoy the beautiful view of the water.

Very good coffee. We had the big boy egg plate and a parfait. Those were good but I wish they add just plain croissants or some other simpler breakfast items like viennoiseries. They have inside and outside seatings available. The views outside are great. The next day we also came for lunch and shared a hamburger. I'm usually not a big fan of burgers but I have to admit this one was really delicious.

Food was great! Good portions for price. We sat outside on the patio and the view was amazing! Also public bathrooms in the back of building. If your in the area definitely recommend it!

We figured the potions were generous so we split each dish among two people (hence our price per head). The sandwiches we ordered were fine, and the breakfast pancakes were a hit with our kids. The coleslaw that came with the fried chicken sandwich was overwhelmed by onion juice.

The staff were great about accommodating our large party. The location was lovely, we ate outside and the grass behind was good for frisbee.

We paid $60 each for two whole pies. They were generous portions but they were quite underwhelming. The crusts top and bottom were thin (making it sloppy to serve the deep pies), and at the perimeter the crust was too thick, was hard, and dry. The peach pie overall wasn’t bad. The apple pie had far too much spice, particularly clove. We were quite disappointed.

A little gem right next to the ocean with delicious sandwiches and locally made pastries and pies. I had the meat loaf sandwich, which was really yummy, and my friend had the fried chicken sandwich which was really good as well. We took home a few different pie slices to try later. Overall, this place was excellent and I will definitely come back!
