The food is amazing, and Jay is such a sweetheart. I tried to order a spicy level of four for my curry and he warned me about North Indian spice levels. So I settled on a three and I don’t think I’ll go above one or two again. North Indian food spicy is very spicy. And the ingredients he use sources himself and they’re very high-quality and so delicious. I highly recommend the homemade mango lassi, The yogurt is homemade. The masala Chia Is amazing. The samosas are excellent. If you haven’t dined here, do yourself a favor.

The food experience was very disappointing. Food did not taste fresh at all and the curry was very watery and lacked flavor. It felt like the dishes were poorly prepared and not up to standard. The worst Indian food I’ve ever tried in my life. We tried Tikka masala, garlic naan and saag paneer, naan was ok however, chicken tikka and chicken saag were super blend. The curry just had water and sugar. Super dissatisfied. Not worth spending almost $100

My friends and I traveled all the way from San Francisco to eat here, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The food was genuinely very poor. I can’t even fully put into words how bad it was. It tasted stale, almost like leftovers that had been reheated, and the curry felt watered down and lacking freshness. It was so off-putting that I nearly felt sick. I was really looking forward to this place, but it did not meet expectations at all. Would not recommend. Pls don’t waste your money here.

Samosas and service were good but everything else was forgettable. Tikka masala had 6 tiny pieces of chicken. Sauce was bland and watery. Vegetables taste like they're from frozen aisle of the grocery store. Rice is plain white rice, not basmati. Totally not worth the high price.

I'm a first-generation American. My father came to this country from Agra, India--the city famous for the Taj Mahal--in the 1960s, and he missed proper Indian food so much. It was pretty hard to find authentic cuisine here back then. When we did go to an Indian restaurant, my dad would point out what was missing in each dish. Once, in a restaurant in New York City, he absolutely mortified my sister and me by calling the entire restaurant staff together around the table so he could explain to them how to properly prepare masala chai, as he felt theirs was not up to snuff. Dad had some standards.

When we traveled back to see our family in Agra, my aunts would fly around the kitchen in their bright saris, turning out countless dishes remarkable for their depth and balance of flavor. Dad would eat so happily at their table, finally starting to relax back into the feeling of home.

Jay's Taste of India is, well, a real taste of India. It captures the rich and nuanced flavor in my aunties' dishes. I have had the chicken curry, the lamb biryani, samosas (such perfect flaky pastry!) and the gulab jamun, which Jay provided with warming instructions. Everything has exceeded expectations! And the portions are LARGE. I shared mine and made my coworkers really happy!

Jay and everyone at the truck are kind, hospitable and provide really excellent ordering guidance. We are awfully lucky to have this truck in Sonoma County!

I've heard they cater, too--glad to know this for future events. ❤️

My dad passed away years ago, but if he were still here, I would be so excited to bring him to meet Jay. Did I mention the masala chai is perfect? I'm sure Dad would have approved.

First time having food from India, as a mexican american, I can say the spice is just right. Absolutely delicious. Everything was great. I will definitely be going back soon!

For $31 after tax and tip for a lamb combo meal for one person, you can do a lot better. Food was very bland, quantity was small, curry was watery. I was jealous of my friend who spent less than half as much across the street on a burrito.

Very small portions for exorbitant prices. I guess that's because this is the only Indian option in the area. On the food flavor, let's just leave it at - this would not sell at all in the Bay Area. Staff is friendly.

It is very rare that I am transported back to India when visiting an Indian food establishment in the US, but that's exactly what I experienced today. I am so happy right now!! 🙂

My wife ordered Pakodas and Samosas and I ordered their Chicken Curry Combo. We capped it off with their one of a kind Yam Halwa and Masala Chai.

Drinking the piping hot chai with shehnai playing in the background on a wintry day really transported me back to India.

Last but not least, the service was like back home with a big smile and even bigger heart! Dil se...

Btw - Jay is not only a great cook, he is even a great singer, and treated me to a few lines from a golden oldie Bollywood song.

Do yourself a favor - give Jay's a visit and order a combo of your choice with masala chai, or just ask for their recommendations.

Did not expect to find this level of Indian food in a food truck in Guerneville. We had the sag paneer combo and the curry chicken. Everything was fresh, delicious and definitely home made.

Amazing authentic Indian food with fresh ingredients. You can tell the owner cares and puts a lot of love into it. We were so happy to have found this place for lunch before we went on our hike in the Armstrong Redwoods state natural reserve.

Delicious Indian street food. We had butter chicken, daal, and saag paneer. The vegetarian samosas and masala chai were the best we've ever had. Jay and his partner were most friendly and welcoming. We live in Berkeley and if this were closer to us, we'd come every other week!
