THE BEST! Started with the tasting, our host was very sweet and gave us great tip throughout our tasting experience. Lovely views. Didn’t get to go on the tour because it got booked quickly. Recommend you book in advance to make sure you get the tour first (it was mentioned to us that it makes the experience better)
Beautiful setting, great customer service from Chris (a rarity in today's world!) in the tasting room. Super knowledgeable and enthusiastic presentation of the champagnes, and some really interesting tastings. We were particularly won over by the "Rouge" a red champagne. Highly recommend.
Editing to add that we joined the wine club and the customer service has been really excellent and accommodating for shipping or picking up! Really a good value for entertaining, etc. Thanks Jaimie!
Beautiful grounds and historic buildings. We did not do a tour but tasted the champagne and walked around the building by ourselves. Very nicely kept
Really dig this place. Champagne tasting fairly priced and really great options. Ended un leaving with two bottles. Venue is gorgeous. What a great time!
Free, very interesting tour with lots of valuable information about Korbel and the entire history of its creation. At the end there was a glass of champagne for everyone.
We visited Korbel Winery & deli on the way to a roadtrip. We didn’t have a great deal of time, but we were still offered a completely glass of the presidential wine which was delicious. The experience was made even better by being able to sit outside and enjoy the lovely scenery of the venue and the peaceful atmosphere that accompanies it.
If you have time, I would recommend checking out the deli next door which does incredible sandwiches and salads perfect for a hot day.
Korbel Winery, found in Sonoma County specifically alongside Guernville Road, is a world of bubbles and rich history. You wouldn't want to miss out on these vineyard views that go on for seventeen hundred acres.
Korbel Winery, known for it's champagne has been around for 142 years. It's one of the oldest champagnes in the U.S. When I was standing on the winery grounds it really made me feel a sense of awe. I was truly witnessing a piece of lasting and compelling history. The Heck family bought this winery in 1954. The present day owner, Gary B. Heck values highlighting the history of the winery to it's clients.
A fun fact is how the Korbel brothers started from a dairy farm. They opened the farm on the very land the vineyards are on currently.
Something else I love about this winery is how immersed in nature it is. The greenery is absolutely beautiful in the summer time. During the fall the nature is just as beautiful with the different colors of the leaves and trees.
This time around my visit was swift, but I would love to explore more of their spacious grounds that are filled with historical buildings and beautiful landscapes. During my visit I was offered a complimentary glass of their new 2020 vintage champagne by a very bright and kind young employee named Rachel. She mentioned that it is $7 after the first free glass and it is $25 for a full tasting. There is also a beautiful outdoor patio for those who enjoy the warm weather with your drink. I appreciated how polite, informative, and perky Rachel was. She mentioned that one of the things she enjoyed about the job is how active it is. She feels like she's always moving and talking to people. There was another very warm employee. I don't remember her name unfortunately, but she was about middle age and had her hair up. She mentioned they recently just opened the visitors center back up again. They had closed it down when COVID happened and the company is happy to be able to share the visitors center again. One of her favorite parts about the job is how people either start with them or end with them and it brings about either an exciting and vibrant energy or calming and relaxing. The busiest days of the week for the winery is weekends and the busiest time is 3pm.
They're parking lot is convenient since they have both a front side and a back side closer to their deli. Yes, this winery does also have a deli and wooden tables to be able to enjoy their delicious food. Although I wasn't able to get a taste this time around the rumors are their deli is one of the best in the area! Their parking lot does have spaces for wheelchair accessible as well as the grounds of the winery being concrete. This winery has a lot of different locations that are great for pictures.
Overall to the beautiful people of Sonoma County and visitors abroad I would recommend putting Korbel winery on your bucket list! You wouldn't want to miss out on this vintage, elegant atmosphere and their crisp tasting champagne.
When visiting Napa Valley, my wife and I wanted to have a Wine Tasting experience. Hence visited KORBEL WINERY. Surprisingly, we had a Champagne Tasting experience where we tasted 5 types of champagne. Special mention to Miss Debbie who was our hostess. She was a very friendly person who was very jovial and welcoming. As I was driving, we informed Debbie that only one of us could do the tasting. For which she informed us that we could opt to pay for one person, and we could share. That was ideal for us as my wife could drink as much as she wanted, while I could have a sip of each for the experience and not worry about driving.
This experience helped us understand the differences in fermentation process for wine and champagne, the technical aspects, types of grapes used in the region and in general, and all other aspects. Debbie was also able to answer all the doubts and questions we had on the subject. Even the other personnel at the winery were very welcoming and hospitable. The place was beautiful. The warm decor of the interiors gave us a tranquil mood. The ambiance was what we imagine and expected a winery would be like.
We were able to visit without prior appointments for the tasting.
If you like bubbly this should definitely be a stop on your trip to wine country. They offer two options
1. Seated tasting, which is inside in their tasting room, costs $25 per person and you taste 5 bubblies.
2. You purchase a bottle (or more) on your own, and you can order food at the Deli and enjoy your bubbly and food at the patio area. The deli has vegan and gluten free options.
They also offer a tour which takes about an hour.
We chose the second option and enjoyed our bubbly with food on the patio.
Oh and they are kid friendly if you’re traveling with anyone under 21.
A beautiful Experience.

I'm giving 4 stars due to the length of time the tasting took. Our server got busy, but we were there for over an hour and a half. We experienced a tasting which at times our glasses were empty for a while before our server got to us. However, it was still fun, and I did become a member. The main reason is they offer champagne that isn't sold in the stores. We visited on a Sunday, and no reservations were needed. Afterward, we were going to visit their deli, but the line was at least 10 deep. Recommend visiting when you have time on your hands.
Our server Debbie was the best and most insitefull.
I've driven by here for so many years and finally had the opportunity to stop. Highly recommend as no appointment was necessary and it was a fun and inexpensive experience!! So rare in the wine world these days. Thank you, Hillary!!
A great experience that you should not miss. The Champagnes are amazing, and the tour is very informative and not long to take. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful to make great recommendations. Scenery is spectacular.
People here are very nice, the champagne and brandy are excellent, and outdoor seating for lunch by the deli is sufficient. May have to get on a waitlist for tasting, so recommend planning on brunching between check-in and tasting.
