Solid eatery spot that I was a local of. Their beef roll and their bamboo shoot with pork were by far my favorites and a must order for me. The scallion pancakes were also solid.

We used to come here quite often, for their House chicken and green onion pancakes. We were there a week ago and while the pancakes are still quite crispy and tasty, the House chicken was a disappointment. It didn't look anything like the pictures of old- cucumbers were not under the chicken but just dumped around the outside, the chicken pieces were not even aligned like half a chicken so the white and dark meat all mixed up, and lastly, there was globs of finely chopped garlic covering the chicken like a sauce. To add insult to injury, the leftovers were just dumped into a plastic carton. There was no greenery like cilantro or sliced green onions either. What happened????

Stopped by on Saturday, 04/13/24 for the first time during lunch. Clean and beautiful interiors. It wasn't as busy as we thought it would be. Ordered the following: - 1 Seafood Noodle Soup = $13.50 - 1 Combination Fried Rice = $13.50 - 1 Chicken Chow Mein = $12.50 - 1 Beef with Black Mushroom = $16.95 TOTAL = $56.95 OVERALL TOTAL = $60.72 Customer Service and Wait Time = Excellent! We received our dishes quickly (we probably waited less than 5 minutes). The dishes were delicious and authentically made. Located across the street from the Puente Hills Mall.

This restaurant is always one of our favorite restaurants. I love their scallions pancake + hot and sour soup. Chicken with cucumber is the best

Onion pancakes and Mongolian beef are what draws us to this place! They are both savory and cooked to order. We still don't know what's in the onion pancakes but they are delicious. We did try the cold chicken, one of their specialities- you see it most tables ordered but I was not a fan of the texture or taste- not to deter others from trying it- just wasn't for me. We have been stopping by since 2008- authentic cuisine.

Casual dining with quick service and food you can't really complain about! Each dish was good, and this is a spot that would be nice to come to if you're nearby.

I love the food here. Even is delicious. Here is what we ordered: Mushu pork: I give this dish a 3/5 because I didn't expect them to wrap it for us. I thought we wrap it ourselves. The flour wrap was very soggy it didn't hold the mushu pork. The entire roll fell apart. So we ate it with chopsticks lol. Shredded pork with bamboo: I give it a 4/5 because the onion proportion is more than the pork and bamboo itself. However, the sauce made up for it. House special chicken: I give this a 5/5. The chicken is very tender and juicy. I love the added cucumbers to the dish and the sauce paired very well with it. Onion pancake (forgot to take a photo). I give it a 5/5. The onion pancakes are very crispy and soft at the same time. Can taste the onion. It goes well with the shredded pork with bamboo. Pork dumpling (forgot to take photo). I give it a 3/5 because the dumpling skin is a bit thicker than the ones I eat at other dumpling places. It is not as juicy as the other places. But the tastes is good. Service: 2/5 I think they should add one or two more staffs on the weekends to handle the rush hours. There were only two staffs on a Sunday, so of course service is slow. Tips: if you come during the weekday Mom-Fri from 11-3pm they have been reasonable price for their lunch specials. Not on weekends. Also on the weekends, if you order entrees, it doesn't not include price. You'll have to pay extra for rice.

Came here solely for the green onion pancake because I heard it was great. Turns out it is the best green onion pancake I've ever had. The pancake is cut into 8 large slices with a fresh, crispy outer layer and a soft inside layer. It is literally a flavor bomb with a burst of strong green onion flavor in every bite. It is oily but the flavor is amazing. Get it, you won't be disappointed!

The soup dumplings were large with a soft fluffy yummy outside but didn't have much flavor to the soup or filling. However the Mongolian beef was amazing! Fullll of beef more beef than onions! That isn't a usual thing either! Usually restaurants load you with onions! Nope! Oh and it comes with rice! They don't charge you for it! Plus the taste was amazing! Just wish the dumplings were was flavorful however overall it was an amazing find!

Well, something changed but still 3 stars, 3.5 at best. We arrived around 4:15pm for an early dinner. We ordered a fried rice, a beef noodle soup, and an an order of xlb. The noodle came pretty quickly and it was on par. The fried rice came next about 15 minutes later. I recognize we are not the only customer they have as tables are filling up but still puzzled to see people came much later got their food before our fried rice showed up. Not sure if certain food are ready made therefore faster, or it is their practice to serve something to everyone on round robin basis. In our case, our xlb arrived another 15-20 minutes later after the fried rice. Food wise, it was a quantity vs quality today. While serving size is good, the fried rice was salty for my taste, and the skin of xlb was rubbery. In other words, they are okay with plenty of room for improvement.

Solid food and decent prices/service. Great food for kids and family. Always order the favorites: green onion pancake, hot n sour soup, and fried rice. Green beans and kung pao chicken are tasty as well.

Monday 12/4/23 Dinner at Earthern Restaurant in Hacienda Heights with my cousin. Good Chinese foods. One the the best jelly fish dish I’ve ever had; crunchy, sweet, salty, and flavorful paired with cucumbers. The shredded pork with bamboo shoots were savory with the crunch of the bamboo shoots paired it with perfectly. The restaurant has a nice and clean decor.David YoungRestaurant Enthusiast

Earthen is a staple in the Hacienda Heights / Rowland Area. If you know anything, you know that you need to get the cucumber chicken. You really can't go wrong with this place. Expect decent service and a loud Chinese restaurant. Take away: food is good, service is better than most "Chinese restaurants" but expect it to be similar when it gets busy AND it's not cash only
