There used to be more Japanese staff and the atmosphere also used to be better. This time I didn't see any of them. It also seems like the owner has changed, and the overall vibe of the restaurant feels very different now.
The charm this place used to have is gone.

I saw a male employee go into the women's restroom with a female employee and they stayed in there for a while before coming out. Not long after, he returned to the kitchen and started preparing food as if nothing had happened. Seeing that made me feel really uncomfortable and concerned about the cleanliness and hygiene so l decided to leave. After witnessing something like that, I didn't feel comfortable eating there anymore.

They have all kinds of authentic Japanese style ramen. Also a Menudo variation if your curious, tastes good by the way. Several appetizers like Coconut Srimp. And lots of Japanese dishes. I had the Omarice with Pork Cutlet on this visit. Although I usually have the Ramen. One of my favorites.

I really like this place. The menu is extensive, the service is fast and the prices are low. The food is the real star here. The ramen bowl is packed with noodles and ingredients. The cream based soups are really good.

Wonderful place, wonderful staff.
Been coming here for ages now.
It is an unusual setup but it's the food that's the star.
Get there early, wait for parking, make sure to ask questions before ordering.

This restaurant is standing alone in the middle of office buildings. There’s no other restaurants nearby and pretty small. Just 10-15 tables. I ordered the hot & sour ramen soup and spicy seafood one I can't remember the name! But it was super flavorful!.💯👍🏻 Also got some appetizers of mixed tempura. The noodles are delicious here! We ordered another noodle on the side. I’d recommend coming to try they had a big menu! It’s unique and can’t really find these elsewhere. It’s also filling! Keep in mind, you will have to wait for a bit. Parking is also limited. I gotta come back to try the other noodles! Just got only one picture cuz when they served it I can't wait and I realized when all the noodles are gone!🤣
Highly recommended 💯

The service sucks now. I can see why there was no line and that fewer people were eating during lunch

Never tasted sour gyoza nor sour mushroom in shio ramen before in my entire 2 years in Japan. I hope I don't get sick.

The spirit of omotenashi is not present.

This place deserves a 5-star rating more than any other Japanese restaurant in Southern California. Having lived in Japan for over five years, I can say the food here tastes like it was brought straight from Japan. For example, their curry has the flavor of a Japanese late-night kitchen, like something from a home-cooked meal. Their fried chicken tastes just like the kind you get at an izakaya in Japan. Unlike many Japanese restaurants in the U.S., which often lack oversight from local Japanese patrons and focus more on raising prices and hype, this place puts its energy into maintaining authentic Japanese flavors. That’s why every time I come here, I savor the meal even more—I don’t know how long it will stay this way. The atmosphere also gives off that old-school Showa-era vibe.

Their ramen is also better than that of many Japanese-style ramen shops around here, which I find both impressive and almost laughable.
